I have done this Lazy Man's cobbler for many many years it works with any type filling. Truly good with the frozen strawberries in their own juice thawed... that is good as well.

Jack... I'm pretty sure when they said "pop out" that means you're supposed to press down on the handles when your cake is done and it pops out without you having to scrape around it to free it :P

The cookware can not be stored flat. The only benefit to silicone cookware is as the ultimate nonstick surface and for easy removal of the cooked food.

I don't like the silicone pans because you can't use a knife in them like you can with a metal pan, the silicone will eventually crack from moisture loss, you can't put them on a direct flame and with that metal frame you can't put it in the microwave to melt butter or margarine. You are basically limited to oven baking only and you have to keep a second set of metal or ceramic pans and bowls and such. You can't even crack an egg on the edge of the bowl because it is to soft. The recipe on the other hand was very good so thank you for sharing that. I am going to try it this after noon with some fresh apricots i just bought instead of peaches and see how that works out.

Can canned apples be used to make a lazy man's apple pie/cobbler?
@Wizkid4908 жыл бұрын
Honestly, you could just plop a can of peach pie filling into the pan and cover it with a quick streusel. Even lazier, and just as tasty, I suspect.

My mom made when I was a kid but to make it better use a glass dish. The only difference was in the quantities which made it way easier. Her recipe was one stick of butter, (melted in a glass dish in the oven) 1 cup of SR flour, 1 cup of sugar, one cup of milk, and only one regular can of peaches syrup and all. Bake it to where it is really brown on the top.

Jack, you should invest in a set of lodge cast iron pans.... They are the BEST for cooking if you take care of them.. Please consider this. Thanks

Don't know if it is faster but it sure looks delicious and worth the time! Yum and cannot wait to try it. Just wondering if we can use organic frozen peaches since we cannot get fresh now? Just let them thaw maybe?

Zubbles in nyc? is it also called peach pie?
@zubbles87218 жыл бұрын
Frugality Ah okay, you're in a real metropolitan area, that makes sense. It's kinda like a rustic peach pie. Similar. Like the dough is thicker, and just mixed up with the peaches. You serve it with a spoon. You eat it warm, usually, sometimes with ice cream.
