+nightowlhooting We seem to be afraid to use e tools at hand. Much information is trying to bust out at the seams but it seems as though we are afraid to seize the moments. Joseph smith didnt know what electronics were but he had them and wrote about them (see liahona ball with writing under the pointers-my symbol) I think the church has sat quiet for too long. The geography was wrong for too long as the people and not the church have been looking in the wrong places for too long. Now , we have google earth to show us things we couldnt see before and with the internet we can put pieces and stories/history together. We have lots of evidence that we just wont put on the table as the church insists on the Holy Spirit doing all the work. If I hadnt seen an angel myself, I would not have believed or found reason not to. You have to really want it and I just dont see the people today and especially in the future "wanting it" that badly, they would rather look away.

Keep them coming. I also was a sinner and was looking for a church. I have visited almost every religion's church and never felt like I was home, until the day that i walked into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints church. My heart told me the search was over and Heavenly Father welcomed me home. I have been Baptized for a little over a year now and have read the Book of Mormon twice. I know Jesus lives and he is coming back to bring us all home. Thank you!

I guess I did not fully realize it before, but now I understand a little more clearly what they mean when they say "a vineyard that has become corrupted every whit" and only a few "doeth good". Just as a little example: in a testimony given by a woman in my ward today, she said, "The world is getting so bad, that when you try to do something good, people react on it as if you are almost a rebel (and she laughed), because it is becoming so less and less common in the world just to do something good." "That's how bad the world is becoming", she added.

And he also made a reference to 1890 as the year. So, even within your church (and past leaders) there is the same problem of constantly being wrong about the apocalypse. He also said that the moon was inhabited by people resembling quakers.

@beatleman69: Mormons are baptized for the remission of sins (& to become members of the Church) by being immersed in water; then receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit/Fire by the laying on of hands blessing. To be 'baptized in water' is to "be born again" (symbolic of Christ's death and resurrection) as explained in the NT. Mormons who keep their baptism and temple covenants have no need to fear when the terrible times of tribulation overcome the earth or at the Second Coming of the Messiah.

Well, the words that the people use to fight against the truth are many, but I know, whether your circunstances may be, that everyone of us who try to understand the things of the Gospel without the Spirit fall in temptation, and they fall in a state called "Apostasy" . If you don't understand the first principles of the Gospel clearly, how can you expect to understand the other things? you can't do that, you can't play with the sacred things. The truth of God shall go forth, no matter what could the people say. I'm not American, I'm Argentinian. So, don't critize my english. Jesus Christ lives and there is no concidence that the true, living church of Jesus Christ will be persecuted for people who affirm to know God by "reason" . God is a intelectual being, He knows all things, He stands above all things. It's real that the devil is in this world, and that enemy try to destroy us. The truth is true, and no matter how many acussations can the people do against her, the truth is always truth. Very good video. With General Conference coming up this weekend, it's good to have things like this to watch and think about. We are so blessed to have a Church that is led by true Prophets and Apostles, true spokesmen for the Lord. No unhallowed hands will stop the work of God! The Standard of Truth has been erected! Max Jacobson I could only find two. Here's the first that I found: from History of the Church, vol. 3, pp. 390, 391, July 2, 1839. You can look it up for yourself on the BYU Studies site: byustudies.byu.edu/hc/hcpgs/hc.aspx Joseph said: "I will prophesy that the signs of the coming of the Son of Man are already commenced. One pestilence will desolate after another. We shall soon have war and bloodshed. The moon will be turned into blood. I testify of these things, and that the coming of the Son of Man is nigh, even at your doors. If our souls and our bodies are not looking forth for the coming of the Son of Man; and after we are dead, if we are not looking forth, we shall be among those who are calling for the rocks to fall upon them." (p. 390) [...] "Whatever you may hear about me or Kirtland, take no notice of it, for if it be a place of refuge, the devil will use his greatest efforts to trap the Saints. You must make yourselves acquainted with those men who like Daniel pray three times a day toward the House of the Lord. Look to the Presidency and receive instruction. Every man who is afraid, covetous, will be taken in a snare. The time is soon coming, when no man will have any peace but in Zion and her stakes." (p. 391) The imminent return of Christ and the gathering of the saints in Zion are covered. 175 years have passed since then. I don't know how imminent 'imminent' has to be, but the saints have not gathered in Zion, and you'll have to think about whether "no man has any peace except in Zion and her stakes".

Max Jacobson Here's the other one. This might be the one you were thinking of. Again, it's from the History of the Church, vol. 2, p. 182, February 14, 1835. And you can find it on the BYU Studies website: byustudies.byu.edu/hc/hcpgs/hc.aspx It says "President Smith then stated that the meeting had been called, because God had commanded it; and it was made known to him by vision 3 and by the Holy Spirit. He then gave a relation of some of the circumstances attending while journeying to Zion-our trials, sufferings; and said God had not designed all this for nothing, but He had it in remembrance yet; 4 and it was the will of God that those who went Zion, with a determination to lay down their lives, if necessary, should be ordained to the ministry, and go forth to prune the vineyard for the last time, or the coming of the Lord, which was nigh-even fifty-six years should wind up the scene." The prophecy was given in 1835, and it said in 56 years. 1835 + 56 = 91 years. This should have taken place by 1891.

+Brad Hall Latter-day Saints believe what the Hebrew Bible in Genesis says: day=period of time, with no specific period of time assigned to it. The earth was created over billions of years but the period of time, from Adam to our day, is measured in 1,000 year time periods, which are days to God. Many, many LDS work in geological sciences and know the time period of the earth, which is taught clearly in our Temples.

This message is very timely. Just a few days ago I was telling my brother how discouraged I felt with the way our country is going (and globally) & how hard it was for me to have feel "Joy in the Lord". While understanding where I was coming from he gently reminded me where God is coming from. We've read the last chapter of the Bible and know what is coming.We know He is the victor. With all the "interesting" comments made, perhaps mine will just get lost in the sea... for what it is worth, thanks for the video- I was glad to show it to my children. I feel they will yet face the unthinkable and I want them to be prepared - and most of all for them to understand that they are chosen for this time because of their strength and no matter the difficulty they must pass through they will stand triumphant with Christ. Thank you for this well put together video.

Hi davidkat99, I copyed pasted my comment about this off of my face book page. I shared it on face book :). Now I share on your's. I do not want to distill fear. As a Mormon I know that we must prepare to walk uprightly before Jesus Christ . Weather after we die or at HIS Second Coming ! I have learned in my church, recently that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints church is now calling on our missionary's to hasten HIS work here on all corners of the earth, because the second coming of Jesus Christ is on the HORIZEN ! Great news for true followers of Jesus Christ ! Get ready for our savior to come to earth and to be our world King ! This is my testimony, in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

Thanks so much for posting. I am the Father of 6 wonderful children. I have never felt an urgency for their welfare more than I have in the past few months. I worry that this country is becoming divided. I worry that some at the head of the Government have lied and are not Christians. I feel as our President does not truly accept the whole of the Constitution.
