She was certainly a much loved young lady❣️ Our children are not supposed to pass away before us & the pain is excruciating when they do. It does lessen somewhat, but, never disappears. I believe that your beautiful Lea would be very pleased you’re educating many others on the Hazards & Perils of Fentanyl Disguised as Oxycodone/Oxycontin. Such a hard thing to grasp when a loved one passes away from drugs. Their precious life is gone over a pill less than $20. Addiction is not easy to overcome. I understand a lot say it’s a choice but we all make mistakes. Addiction is sooo hard to get out once you’re in. Some times we don’t even know how to. Help isn’t widely available like everyone thinks.

As a society, we have so much to learn about addiction. It's a holistic issue. From addiction up the chain to the manufacturers, legal and illegal. And back down again. Everything in between and around. We are not going to arrest our way out of addiction. That's not to say arrests should not happen, but disrupting any part of the supply chain only creates a void waiting to be filled in an instant. Complex issue.

Im so sorry you lost your lively daughter. Drugs do change your brain pathways and who you are, what your goals are ( more drugs), and your life goals. Its SO difficult to get off drugs because of the withdrawls, not only physical but the anxiety is intolerable. All you need to do is pick up your phone to have drugs delivered, and withdrawl symptoms are gone. But with so much fentanyl out there, its just a matter of time before you overdose. Thank you for sharing your story, you have saved me and hopefully my father wont have to bury his daughter. Bless you.

.This is awful that families are left with a lifetime of grief and the dealer often times gets no time. I wish we could focus more on prevention why are the younger generations choosing to pop pills like candy? I have watched many of these videos and many that have lost their life comes from a seemingly good home environment to get themselves in a drug addiction battle. Something no parent ever dreamed of their child going down this dark path. For those who were courageous to overcome an addiction what in your life that was missing that drove you to do drugs? What can we do better to bring awareness about the dangers of drug addiction? RIP

Dear Drs. Keith and Debra Montgomery, I am so sorry for the loss of Lea Marie. I am shocked this co-worker would knowingly give her Fentanyl. Also, shocked the dental practice would hire someone like that. Murder is the only charge fitting for the dealers of this poison. There should be no plea deal on the table. First of all: I am really sorry for your tragic loss! BUT I have to say it, the sentence of the dealer is tbh a joke. 12/8, and not being charged with First Degree? Why? They had his phone and the other person’s phone, I mean, how much clearer do you want it to be? I mean if he really was a career criminal (which I totally believe) then he shouldn’t have gotten the chance to see freedom ever again. Of course, Lea‘s dad is in a way better situation cause there was an investigation but the outcome of the trial was not „fair“ at all… With sad regards from Germany 🇩🇪, Philipp
@bibiblocksberg208121 күн бұрын
First of all, comparing a deadly toxin like Fentanyl that kills people almost instantaneously to some french fries might not be the smartest and most fair of comparisons. Although I agree that fast food is undoubtedly unhealthy for people I feel the two categories are not quite comparable. If I eat fast food I'm usually still alive the next day. Secondly, if it was your child you might also try to seek out the different factors of her premature death and want them to face up to their responsibility. While I agree that drug dealers do not carry all the responsibility for these tragedies they most certainly do deserve a big part of the blame as they played a key role in this. If it was your child I bet you would not have the audacity to compare this deadly super drug to fast food and I also bet you would take great solace in the fact that this particular drug dealer responsible went to prison. I do however agree with you that the story doesn't end there. And that the questions shouldn't stop there.

@tinad721 I humbly beg to differ. I understand what you're saying, but we are becoming less and less able as a species to handle the truth. I've watched many stories and really evolved people see and say the truth. Saying th8ngs like "and then he/she got involved with the wrong crowd" shows no acceptance of the fact that their family member WAS a part of that bad crowd. My comment wasn't showing a lack of empathy, it was showing a lack of playing along with the half truths humans tell themselves and others.....and yes, as a human i do it as much as every other being.
@tinad72120 күн бұрын
@@lv7118 I think you are getting it mixed up. They have not defended that the family member was a saint. They mean that the person was ok until they met this group of people who are users. Of course the person makes the choice of being friends with them and becomes one of them. Prior to meeting users, they were OK. Meeting them and joining them made them change.
