@@SpeakconfidentenglishEnglish. Hi dear Annemarie. My interview was ok, english speaking. I am an intermediate speaker but, after the 3rd interview, the HR selector said it was a position with weekly time change. And I declined. I will keep on trying to find my job opportunity. Meanwhile I practice english. Thank you again Teacher!

Thank you for this amazing content creation. I’m always impressed how you present such a huge variety of topics in the most inviting and learnable way. I’m instantly inspired and just want to go out there and try out suggested methods. I love the replacement of the word ‘but’ and how much more influential and motivating it sounds. Practicing out loud and recording yourself is the the best tip I have heard and followed by you. Thank you🌸 Have a wonderful day.

first of all, thank you so much for your clear, well-structured video. Actually, there is not a team leader who calls the shots, so to speak because we are a team that organizes and provides different activities for OPs, however we meet and pitch ideas that we discuss.Therefore, we get together to brainstorm a project, so, needless to say we have to set up clear goals and the whys. We share the reasons and we use transparent language because our proposals have to be accepted by the Council. The downside is to convince the polititian who has the upper hand at the time. When we meet with that person, we cannot afford to use any fillers, weakeners or any words that downplay the message. In other words, we need to remove any uncertainties.

As always a great lesson with clear explanations and examples. I think the short videos added of activities don't add anything to the video, they just make distraction.

@@Speakconfidentenglish Yes My mother always compares my grades at school with/ to my peers' grades who she knows We need to compare the economy of our country with/to the economy with/to other country to know where we are.
@Speakconfidentenglish2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Very helpful. Both 'to' and 'with' can be used with the verb 'compare.' And they are often used interchangeably; however, there is a slight difference. We tend to use 'compare to' to highlight the similarities between two things. It indicates that one thing is like another. 'Compare with,' on the other hand, is used to highlight similarities AND differences. Furthermore, it often suggests that the differences are more important than the similarities between two things. I hope this helps.
