I worked for a manager who you could not ask any questions regarding our workload. I could not ask how a process is performed or how to fix a work related issue. I was barked for asking and e-mails sent to me that they aren’t the person to ask questions and to sort things out myself (they would CC their manager too). They have moved on now. Hmm, don’t know why but I wonder? Let’s now see how the new manager is like.

One thing leaders need to realize is listening to staff and take it seriously, especially if managers lack training themselves. I worked in a job and had 0 issues and tending to a manager who couldn't do their own job and stood and barked orders. ..and they forgot that I'm not employed to be their go to. They also gave someone else my job and then the problems surfaced. Tools missing and you communicate the issue and I'm apparently in trouble and the other person isn't. Doesn't make sense, does it? These days, I work in a company and have less problems because I have my gear and left alone 😊

My father passed away during close of the month. I felt like they were compassionate but as I got back after one week it was like nothing happened at all. I even emailed during the time off to help get things completed but still felt like it was a failure upon return. Flowers they sent were nice. But one week after losing your dad and coming back should possibly signal a little time (maybe another week) of getting back into it. I love financial modeling and the work I do but coming back full throttle seems odd after close family loss. Family death kind of takes time. I was full throttle in 2 weeks but felt like I was in trouble. Couldn’t imagine a new child and this type of mentality. F-100 company.

Do you have a video about how to work with employees that are negative, spread rumors, and plays the victim?

What if an employee has a long history of constantly lying and turning back on their declared promise to improve? So I'm a supervisor 1 for a recycling company with roughly 15 employees under me. I'm the #2 guy for shipping/receiving and the largest portion of their production. I've been leaving the employee to my boss, who is the main supervisor. He has a long history of being a lacking employee who doesn't care to improve as he's had years to improve and seems to have gotten worse. I'm his immediate supervisor, and I haven't approached him yet about his performance due to allowing my supervisor to handle it, but the issues persist. What would you recommend?

In my experience most of the lying comes from senior management and VC’s
