Paul McNulty is already a piano builder but he’s got plans for Fusion 360 in his work.
Paul talks about how he ended up in a beautiful workshop in eastern Europe, not far from the Bohemian forest, source of the best spruce in the world for building reproductions of the pianos owned by Bach, Brahms, Schubert and Beethoven. His wife, the famous pianist Vivana Sofronitsky works with Paul to lead their team of craftsmen to build concert pianos for some of the most famous concert halls in the world. Paul currently learning 3D modelling in Fusion 360 so that he can program his CNC routing machine to produce parts including the soundboard, the critical piece in every piano which is a complex and subtle structure.
