I have looked and looked to see something my son would love. I have been painting a picture for each son, daughter-in-law and grandchild this year (basically my first year of painting). My son's birthday is in one month and it might take me that long to do this, lol, but I think it fits him and he will really love it. You just have so many styles and techniques that I have found it easy to please each one and I have been able to accomplish each thing I tackled. They have loved them and I am mostly pleased with my results. There aren't enough words to describe your ability and your skill as an instructor that allows you to communicate that ability in a way that makes each person a better painter.

Love, love, love this one you guys! Attempting it in water colour. It is hard to translate with the white being the paper and having to paint light to dark but I am getting there bit by bit. 🎨🇨🇦🤗❤️❤️🤗🇺🇸🎨 be fussy, take all the time you want, I love it! This is what I love to do, Cinnamon! It took me 2 afternoons to freehand draw and paint in water colours but I did it and am happy with my results! Thank you thank you! So much. Cinnamon I love watching your tutorials ... but I really loved this one as you shared so much about reflection values of colors shadowing and I could go on.. I recently had to retire early due to the effects of Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis. I was a registered nurse and so enjoyed my career.. long story short - I have collected so much paint and nice brushes to really get into my dream of painting artwork and now I notice I can’t hold the brush still when working on tedious areas.. no pity requested but could you send pray or send wishes for 62 yr old “Marmie” who wants desperately to steady her hands for her dream goal of being able to render artwork to leave her 9 grandchildren 😳💕. Sending you positive thoughts and kudos for your talent - and you are so sweet the way you talk to the audience coaxing them in the tutorials...

I've been where your at. Don't give up. It isn't always easy, but is worth it. It took me a long time to pick up my brushes again after my mother killed herself. I was 18 and ended up raising my siblings. I am so thankful to be arting again. I have one painting I did that reminds me of her. It was my break through and i have been painting ever since. Now my family fight over my stuff.

I heard you say you save your "empty" tubes of paint for other projects. I do that too, but I use little bottles of flow paint, not tubes. And when I can't get much more out, I add a tiny bit of distilled water, shake well, and label the top WASH and I use it for washes. It has been so handy to have these. I've got white, burnt umber, black, and granite grey washes and I find I use them frequently!
