Everything is experience. I’ve learned more difficult things before learning the simpler ones, like learning how to jump 180 both forward to backward and backward to forward as well as the jump to powerslide before learning a simple backwards jump. I say learn whatever inspires and motivates you and don’t get too hung up on minutiae. You can’t improve your form with an attitude of fear or reservation.
