This is part 1 of the video as in part 2 you will see me use the language whilst I am in the country it self.

I love this video and the fact that you worked so hard on learning this language in such a small time frame! The fact that you filmed and posted that Reel was super impressive. I've been learning Norwegian for years now and I don't have the guts to film much of anything in it still. I love that you used your French knowledge to learn the Luxembourgish. Such a great way to learn. I can't wait to see part 2!

It was such a fun experiece filming it as well XD Plus the amount of support I received whilst in Luxembourg... makes you want to continue. For me that's what language learning is about: connecting. I loved it! I truly do hope that you could feel more comfortable with Norwegian. I would love to hear it :) I bet you are very good at it without knowing it.

@@BecomingaPolyglot I'm so happy you had a great experience! I would love to do these kinds of videos - someday hopefully! Aw, thank you, I hope so too. I'm hoping to do my first language-related video soon but it'll be more of a "where I am in each language" than a speaking video.

Awesome!!! I have looked at Luxembourgish but it was too complicated for me. 😅😅 I am learning Swiss German and I LOVE it!!! 🥰🥰🥰 Mir= We Si= You (Polite)/ can also mean They Lowercase s in si= She Same as Swiss German. :) A LITTLE BIT. 😊😊 but I hope you enjoy Luxembourgish, Swiss German also have double ss in place of ß. Luxembourgish also have double ss. To work in Swiss German is Schaffe but Swiss German has many other dialects. I would just say Arbiitä. 😊😊 but in Luxembourgish to work is Schaffen. I recommend using Google translate, they have Luxembourgish. 😊😊

Wow what a great comment!! Thank you so much for watching my video. How incredibly interesting that there are even similarities with the Swiss German language. I love figuring out how all these Germanic languages work! You can definitely tell that they all used to be one language. I wish you the best of luck with Swiss German, what an amazing language to dive into! X Vera

@@BecomingaPolyglot you’re so welcome Vera! And I had seen a not nice comment saying “you will waste your time learning Luxembourgish” or something like that, I was just rephrasing what that person said. But this is what I think: Don’t let anyone stop you from reaching your dream, let’s say Jesus has something in store for you with the language He placed on YOUR heart. 😊🥰

Yea I know… people tend to say bad stuff online, Part of being on KZbin I guess. Comments like yours make my day. I mean, how cool is it that we have the time and motivation to learn these languages? To communicate with others? To learn different cultures? I mean, that’s just amazing! I often hear critique on my way of learning a language, but honestly, having fun is the most important aspect of this hobby. Not reaching fluency in a day 😂 Thank you for following me along!! I truly appreciate it 😊🫰🏻 love hearing updates on your Swiss German journey

@@BecomingaPolyglot thank you so much!! 😊😊😊 I will be sure to keep you updated! Actually, I am learning vocabulary right now in context. Instead of learning single vocabulary words. 😊😊 At the Supermarket (Biim Supermarkt) 1) How much is this? Wii villä isch diisä? 2) Excuse me= Äntschuldigä. 3) This is on sale/clearance= Diisä isch uf verchauf/ uusverchauf. 4) I am just looking= I bi ur suechä. 5) Do you have?= Händ Si? 6) Where is the fruit aisle?= Wo isch s Gmüsä gäng? My knowledge will only grow and I look forward to it!! 🥰🥰🥰 your knowledge will grow too❤️❤️ You may not see it now but just learning the small stuff will lead to something great!! 😊😊

This is great!! It’s exactly what I do as well. Learning vocab/phrases in context makes me remember them 100% better. Plus it’s a great exercise for when you actually have to use it! It’s funny when I look at the sentences you wrote that the pronunciation seems so familiar but the spelling is yet completely different! Swiss German is definitely not the same as German. Amazing! Thank you once again for your kind words 😊😘
