Not as easy as you think. As he showed, this serve is better very close to the net. You need a lot of practice otherwise the ball will just hit the net. Also, you need a good rubber to have a lot of effect on the ball.

Practicing this also has the advantage that, when you do it right, most of the balls remain on the table, making for an easy cleanup.

Video is good, but just before 3:00, aren't you throwing the ball backwards into your paddle? That's an illegal toss... and even the high toss before 4:00 is a quite angled... supposed to be straight up, with minimal deflection from vertical.

It really takes a lot of practice. Even when you think you got it right after 1 hour and 400 balls, a week later in the next training unit you have to do it again. Continuous for quite a while, before this complex series of movements has settled down in that brain between your ears. But it is worth the effort.

did you re-glue or bought an used rubber on the black side? tensors usually shrink after its taken off, so it is quite hard to glue them back exactly as it was, but using a roller and pressing while gluing the rubber on the blade can get most of the tensor effect back if done correctly.

What do you mean by brushing "deeper" in time 2:29?
@smallgamer21985 жыл бұрын
More deeper means you have to brush hard as you can. The brushing has to be at the maximum power that you brush under the ball.
@MLFMTableTennis5 жыл бұрын
I mean u try to brush so hard underneath the ball as much as u can. By that way u could produce more spin on the serve ^^
@MLFMTableTennis5 жыл бұрын
@vinal raj: that what i mean, bro
@erix13845 жыл бұрын
If you brush completely tangentially to the ball, the ball won't sink into the rubber. To get maximum spin, the ball should sink into the rubber, and to to that you should hit slightly into the ball.
@joseprado84773 жыл бұрын
4:05 is that one legal? (Im guessing it is just hard to get it like that every time)
