Chuck - Aren't you worried about the steel bar discoloring cased leather ? Wouldn't a bar of brass or aluminum be a better choice so as to eliminate the risk of incidental discoloration ?.? I'm curious to know what you think and look forward to your reply, CW Peterson Grass Valley, California; USA

I've never had any issues but, absolutely use a brass or aluminum bar if you have one!

is there a reason he does a bunch of smaller hits vs one or two harder hits?

I could never think of ANY good reason why I'd prefer to use a cylindrical maul rather than a hammer made of the same material.
@WeaverLeatherSupply3 жыл бұрын
It's really just up to preference. If you do a lot of tooling, the maul allows you to hold it up closer where you're actually holding part of the head and part of the handle and it's a little easier on your wrist.

A good way to make a anchor line for the tri weave is a soft lead pencil on dry leather then case it. When you stamp and dye it the line is completely gone.

I would like it if you would have a closer shot of the work you are doing. You would allow us to see what you are actually doing better.

Thank you for the feedback, Eric. We can definitely look into this.

Hi I like watching your videos a lot. But you need to go up closer when you get done with the stamps and stains.

Please use the maul correctly, hold it by the handle and not the head.

I don't think it was intentional

@@nathancarlson5385 that's why we pointed it out. He should know what he's making can be taken as racist. Just looking out for him buddy.

@@JoshRhoton what he's saying as well about how much he likes the design... It's innocent in that it did not register with him that rotating the stamp created a Swastika, he only saw a geometric shape. But the totality of the visual image and verbal comments just come across badly.
