Why two channels leatherwood?
@Leatherwoodoutdoors3 жыл бұрын
@@wwg1wga661 well, a long time ago many channels did this when they wanted to expand into other areas. When we were at our height of making videos, we made lots of side videos such as extra footage videos and videos that didnt have a complete story. compilations, misses, and stuff that just had no context. we did not want our original channel to be bogged down with these types of videos. we wanted out best out front all the time. So, we made a bonus channel. we would put how to videos, cooking videos and then branched off into things like beekeeping and survival how to videos. Not everyone wants to see those videos so we made another channel for those who would sit through a video that could be 20 minutes long with no one shooting anything. Its not a bad video channel, but more of a bonus stuff channel. No one makes these second channels anymore, but at one point in time, many people did this. knowing what we know now, we would have put it all on one channel, but since we already have it and with so many videos already on it with many subscribers, thats just the way its going to be.

The first deer I harvested was with my grandfather's Remington 760 caliber .308. I borrowed it from my uncle who inherited it since I didn't have a rifle when I turned 16. My father bought me a Remington 7600 .30-06 with the synthetic stock. Never given me a single problem.
@matthewtalich99893 жыл бұрын
The 308 was one of the most popular chamberings and owners tend to not give them up but the 35 Whelen I would say is the most collectable and difficult to find.

I used to have a 760 BDL basket weave stock in 308. It was my favorite rifle for many years. The only problem was i never dropped one in its tracks, they would always run about 80 yards. I started hand loading 165gr speer grand slam bullets and they all just dropped. Congratulations on a great year and can't wait to see the flintlock episodes. It was tough hunting in northeastern pa being so warm, deer just weren't moving unless you almost stepped on them. I'm looking forward to the 2nd archery season. I got my buck during archery and have a few doe tags to use up.

Put 2 in the freezer in November with it. And one to boot with the ole' .50 cal Traditions muzzleloader in December! Mom got me that rifle as a kit back in '92. She knew I needed to have my hands busy and defuse from Desert Storm. She was right, as always. God rest her soul!

Really great videos. You do a terrific job. I grew up not far from you but hunt in Maryland now. I agree with John that the Remington 760 in 30.06 is such a classic PA deer rifle. I would add the Savage Model 99 as another classic and for a lever action it’s fast and accurate.

Enjoyed this one again guys after revisiting. Now I have never seen a whitetail der in real life , but I can usually guess a red stag to within 3 or 4 lbs John Nugent’s Dee is shorter in the body but deeper in the chest, Luke’s is longer and leaner I’d say they dress out to within a lb or two of each other! Congrats! both and to the cameraman. Is the 30.06 bolt an old British David Lloyd rifle I thought I saw a distinctive insert on the front of the fore end! If so, it’s a classic…

I have a BLR in 30-06 and 243 - i have never hunted with one of the pump rifles, but with my experience hunting with shotguns here in the South I would tend to agree with Nugent that a pump action does stay on target pretty well - the BLR's I shoot do the same, but the downward motion of the action could lead to going off target easier - so I need to make sure the first shot counts. LoL
@johnkendall69623 жыл бұрын
