The story about her flashing people, and him always waking her up. Sleep deprivation is actually a torture tactic. It can make you lose your mind, and abusers have used sleep deprivation as a tactic to break down their victims.

Apparently it's ok if to defend cheaters nowadays. I don't agree withe everything the husband did but she's using the same excuses cheaters use. Oh I was drunk it was a mistake🙄. The same BS I wrote this comment before I heard the update. The husband definitely went way to far and she should definitely leave him.
@ruthdawit420117 сағат бұрын
@@UNITED-STATES-OF-MURICA140 even before the update, and i’m not defending her flashing his friends, how is anything what he did justified? in the story beforehand the girl breaks up with her boyfriend for cheating because the trust was gone. thats the correct response to losing your trust in your partner when they cheat, not asking them to do labor for you and waking them up in the middle of the night screaming at them.
@victorywalkingtours884316 сағат бұрын
@UNITED-STATES-OF-MURICA140 JESUS FUCKING CHRIST. This comment is literally fucking insane. Even before the update, WTF is wrong with you. In NO WAY is she excused for what she did. But if your spouse crosses a boundary or actually cheats, you have conversations and if you can't live with/trust them, you break up. You don't give them a shit ton of abusive punishments. If my husband cheated I would get a divorce, not come up with psycho ways to punishment him. This is such a bizarre take.
@karmaezitzner886216 сағат бұрын
@@UNITED-STATES-OF-MURICA140 but she didn't cheat... There was nothing sexual about her actions. She was drunk and thought she would stick to to them for being obnoxious towards her. She has absolutely no intention of making it sexual in any way. They did. Was she stupid? Yes. Was she not classy? Yes. Was she a cheater? No. She didn't engage in any sexual behavior. You go to many countries in Europe and women walk on beaches with no tops and it's not sexual or cheating.
I've paused story 3 just to write this. As someone who is 2 years free from a 17 yr abusive relationship with a narcissist, i can tell you right now, why, you flashed his friends. He has been controlling you in small ways and picking on you and stifiling you, that in your tipsy state, you had a rebelous moment that you knew would piss him off but felt like feeling free again. Even if for a moment. Adding, the rule about unfollowing his friends is an ISOLATION tactic.

My husband has some unloyal friends. When their cheating side is being discussed, he always tells them how fucked up it is and that they’re disgusting. Flashing boobs is a break in respect of not only their relationship but a violation of trust in the other peoples relationship that were witnesses to the flash. It’s very much NOT ok. With all of that said the husbands reaction is abusive. Point blank. Divorce is a must and honestly she should press charges.
@jaylynn863012 сағат бұрын
How is it a violation of trust in the other people's relationships? That would imply that for them to witness someone unexpectedly flashing them was a betrayal of their partners, which is a little crazy. It's not a violation of trust unless it's something you CHOSE to do. As for it being a break in the respect of their relationship, I think that really depends on the context/intention. I would not, for example, consider going to a nude or topless beach a break in the respect of a relationship (unless it was something you both very specifically agreed not to do), because the situation is not meant to be sexual. And on the other side of the coin, you could disrespect a relationship enormously with only words while 100% covered from head to toe.

Does anyone else hate the girl from the 6th story, she really comes off as that one friend who you hate hang around because she always is talking about her cheating ex but won't leave, and defaults to "he'll change, I love him too much" like have some self respect it's just so embarrassing😅

For the last one, if I found out my partner lied about something so small, I’d wonder what else they’re capable of lying about.

Story 4: OP is jealous. She's never been treated as well as her son is treating his fiancee and just can't fathom the sweetness and romance. OP's fiancee is getting princess treatment, but that's not weird.

this might be a hot take but for story 4 i feel like her posting that was a MUCH worse idea than it seemed. the comments all talking about how she’s jealous and weird with her son will only make her hate the fiancé more, hence her sudden comments about her “leeching” off him. they will most likely have a worse off relationship now unfortunately.

Yea that’s vile with the grandma calling the kid the girl version of the name. I agree that nicknames are pretty normal but it’s not like the opposite sex version of their own name, that’s too much. I remember being like 10 and calling my cousin “Samuel” instead of “Samantha” to irk her. Everyone got mad about that, especially her mother 🤦🏻♀️ and I wasn’t a grown woman lol. I’d definitely start calling her “grandpa” instead lmao.

The closest thing to the word ur looking for that means "blessing in disguise" is "serendipity" but it doesn't mean a bad situation was the precursor... how is there no word for it?? Edit: I think I found one. The word "eucatastrophe" was coined by the legendary author J.R.R. Tolkien, famous for The Lord of the Rings. It’s a combination of the Greek prefix "eu-", meaning "good" or "pleasant," and "catastrophe," which typically signifies a sudden disaster. Together, it creates the idea of a sudden, unexpected turn of events that transforms what seems like a dire or catastrophic situation into a positive and hopeful outcome.

As a son named brooks.... Brooklyn would not fly! What. Also first time I ever heard brooks other than my son as a first name
@katec18817 сағат бұрын
thank you for saying this! I felt like it was really;ly disrespectful that the grandma continued to call him that after being asked not to. I guess Brooklyn could be a gender neutral name, but I have never met a man named Brooklyn, only women

Story 6: The word for when an accident turns out to be good is "serendipity"; it refers to the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way, essentially meaning a fortunate discovery made by accident Not sure if this fits what you were looking for!

60 is PRIME becoming a grandparent age! If you had your kid at 30, and your kid had theirs at 30, then boom. Grandparent. Most people have kids younger than 30 too

my mom calls my son Lucien, “Luciano” in a fake european/italian accent. the name is french. it doesnt bother me to create a nickname for my son, we have many for his name, but all of us can’t stand that accent, and the fact she does it EVERY TIME she talks to him. i asked her to stop and she insists on doubling down. i think its so disrespectful and annoying.
