They had one of the best guard line-ups of that period. They just ran into Isiah and Dumars in 1990 and then Jordan in 1992. The West had more parity post-Kareem, there were really interesting teams. Competition was stacked at the top end of league, and even the mid-tier teams could pull out a few surprises. Jordan's dominance just overshadowed his competition. Part of it was the league's doing, because they did their best to market a transcendent star, and the premature retirement of Magic just cleared the way for Jordan to be the sole beneficiary of the marketing push.

I actually have to thank Lebron fans for helping me see the truth. See, there was a time when I did consider Lebron one of the best after MJ, an amazing player. But the constant shouting from his fanboys about how flawless he is, and the constant direct attacks on MJ's era, made me deep dive and realize... Lebron doesn't even have a strong argument for top ten. He had no success until the NBA turned into a cupcake league, so much of his career is manufactured. Him, other players, and sometimes the NBA as a whole have deliberately stacked the odds in his favor as much as possible... and he still choked on multiple occasions, sometimes to bench warmers. He's terrible in the clutch, he's had more All-Star level assistance than any other superstar in basketball, he load manages like crazy, he's allowed to travel so much he ought to be a spokesman for American Airlines, and he practically naps on defense while making sure to get 1 solid rundown block so people will "OMG look how he hustles on defense!" Lebron gets cooked, he cries about not having help and jumps to another manufactured team. MJ gets cooked, he takes it personally and beefs up to humiliate you in the future, just like he did to the Pistons in '91 and the Magic in '96. MJ used loss as motivation, not an excuse to runaway. Lebron gets cramps in a game and lets himself be carried away like a teenage girl so his team can flounder. In the '97 Finals MJ contracted food poisoning, was advised by doctors not to play, and still willed himself onto the court to drop 30+ because that was a critical game. The fact is the stats are irrelevant. With as much help as Lebron has been afforded in his career, both on the court and in the back office, he ought to have enough rings to rival Bill Russell at this point. Instead a large portion of his career was spent dominating a weak conference with superteams only to get spanked and put in timeout once the lights were at their brightest.

Nice pull, the talent level is comparable to the 2015 and 2016 Golden State teams but their play style is closer to the 2007 Spurs, or the early Garnett-era Celtics.

The whole Lebron being the GOAT debate is ridiculous. Forget stats and accomplishments, who can play the game of basketball better. The best basketball player to ever play the game was Jordan he could do everything on the court. Lebron can't shoot, can't shoot free throws, can't dribble, no post game, don't play defense cuz he wanna save energy on the offensive side and he still sucked lol. All he can do is run fast run people over and layup or dunk. What makes it even worse is the one thing he was so called good at (dunking) he didn't participate in the dunk contest. Fans were begging him to participate but he let us all down like always cuz he was scared he couldn't win lol.

LeNarrative's fans are like the parents that always blame the teachers for their kid's bad grades. They know (or at least should) that it's hard to present the case for someone to be the best ever with a losing finals record and so many meltdowns in crucial times in the playoffs. They want to have it both ways. He's the best ever, but at the same time could not beat other teams because they had better players that he couldn't overcome. It's funny that his fans focus so much on his stats but don't use them to show why Jordan's competition was so bad.

The "last year he had aids" is throwing me off from the grammar too lol. He's speaking as if Magic had it for that year, but then it went away. Like you said in the video, Magic has HIV, not Aids. Aids is late stage of the infection of HIV, and the transition to aids doesn't always occur. Magic Johnson had been getting treatment through the entire time since being diagnosed and when treated, HIV doesn't transition to aids. These guy's just put horrible things on the name of other individuals without ever educating themselves. What this guy says, doesn't do anything to Magic's life, but geez.

Also, these idiots always leave out the path the Bulls had to take before the finals. Those playoff series were hard, going through Detroit, New York, Atlanta, Cleveland, Miami, Philly, Indiana, Charlotte (2nd 3peat). I mean any of those teams could've won a chip if they got through the Bulls, but they didn't, why? I think everybody knows why.

@EleyonTheGamerАй бұрын
@@TheRealMindCrime I knew you would get a kick out of it for him disrespecting the Suns roster alone. But this guy is absolutely ignorant, so I can completely understand that you annoyance. I forgot that Uncut dropped that 2007 stat line for LeBron which is something we talked about recently. He didn't play great in those finals, and his fans and pundits look on that season favorably for him which baffles me. "He carried them to the finals"... I'm a writer working on my own book franchise and the style I use is the "Therefore, but". And its like. "LeBron upped his game" therefore ... "He carried them to the finals" but... "He lost."... So what is there to even celebrate. This guy says this in the video as well. "LeBron got to xyz amount of finals already" and lost most of them. With logic like this, Jerry West is the goat for simply making it even though he's 1-8! But I love that statement on them thinking critically. That is one of our greatest gifts as human beings and people just want to be parrots inside. No ability to think, but they hear something and are able to repeat it.

@richardrojas5796Ай бұрын
There’s a huge difference between the teams Jordan lost to early on and who LBJ lost to. The Pistons and Celtics that Jordan eventually beat were unbelievably deep and some of the best teams ever . Pistons were scary. They used to mug MJ. Celtics as well . Lebron lost to some decent teams but not greatest teams ever . The other thing is Jordan eventually got revenge on all of them . Lebron had to leave and go make super teams to win . Jordan kept coming back every year and got better team as well and beat those awesome teams . He didn’t leave or join the Lakers or Pistons . Lebron never scared anyone . His defense was better when he was younger but not MJ level . MJ terrified fans and his opponents. Nobody scared of Lebron . I think Lebron more a lamb than a goat 😂

That argument about the Bulls team after MJ retires, I can't stand it, they didn't even make it to finals, but because they learned from MJ, work ethic and such, they played great, I say that is actually a plus for MJ, he made his teammates better, for reals, even when not there he showed his teammates what it takes to be winners, but without MJ just not winners of the trophy.

Lebron couldn’t win until the league changed the defensive rules those 9 years were failed years and only winning 4 championships in 22 seasons is nothing to celebrate
@TheRealMindCrimeАй бұрын
I mean. It would've been something to celebrate if he didn't proclaim himself as the GOAT. But he ruined that for himself so it's either GOAT or bust for him now lol. 4 rings is cool. Just not goat status

And losing 6 championships in his prime should’ve humbled him
@mhfj3901Ай бұрын
FUN FACT: This is how Lebron got over on the entire basketball world and I never heard anyone else say this. LBJ plays 2 positions. PG on offense (assists) and SF on defense. (rebounds) This is how he’s racking up stats. If I’m not mistaken he’s the only player in history to ever do this. Everyone else played the same position on both ends. Now if James did that like everybody else one of his stats would decrease significantly. So when he’s getting triple doubles fans think he’s killing the game but this he how he’s getting his numbers. He’s getting stats for 2 positions. 🤷♂️
