That free throw differential is wild. Im a Lakers fan since 99 but I can't stand LeBron's antics. I tried to get onboard when he signed but the constant bitching at the refs and putting zero effort into defence is unwatchable. Throw in having zero loyalty to any of his teammates. He'll throw them under the bus in the blink of an eye if it means it means he doesn't have to be accountable for any struggles the Lakers have. LeBron and his fans act like it's his birthright to win titles and be in the playoffs. He's the most thinned skinned superstar the NBA has ever had. His hourglass tweet before the deadline. What a classless clown. I hope he goes to Philly in the offseason and the Lakers can begin a rebuild. AD can go with him and well take Maxey.

Exactly, LeBron could have been an all time great defender, a really efficient offensive player, good teammate and setting guys up, and probably won as many rings as MJ, instead he wanted to dominate the ball, force everyone else to guard his position, then pretend he did all the work in the end. It's sad really LeBron easily could have averaged 21 13 10 2 2 For his career would be more impressive than his 27 7 7 1.5 and .8 😂 That .8 blocks says alot about his defensive presence on the court, 6'9 'guards all 5 positions' yet doesn't even average 1 block per game for his career. Larry bird averages more rebounds and blocks than the physical specimen LeBron hames

Lebron being an unselfish player is the biggest lie ever told. He dominates the ball and has to play his way so he can fill the stat sheet, which means he has to lead the team in scoring and passing, not letting others fulfill those roles more effectively. What would be unselfish is if he let everyone have a role besides standing around and letting Lebron do everything on offense, while they do everything on defense. There’s a reason his championships only came on super teams and even then, he still underachieved. His dominance of the ball creates great individual numbers and underperforming teams

That's what Lebron fans don't understand. MJ and Kobe for example led their team in scoring and shot attempts but they also allowed teammates to be the main contributors in other categories. This created team balance and led to more winning. Lebron is a glorified stat getter. Not a glorified winner

A forward, and as a forward assist isn't a stat that position should aim for, it's points and rebound, he took the position as a forward but plays as a point guard in the team so he can get more " stats " to be an all rounder, it may work before as he has " great help " from players like Wade, Kyrie, Bosh and Love also as he was younger, now his system doesn't work anymore and all the sudden it's from " he makes his teammates better " to " LBJ need more help....again! He boasts the greatest prime out of every player in nba history, similar to Ali boasting the greatest prime, and is undefeated in the finals similar to how Rocky was undefeated throughout his career. Michael Jordan won ZERO In the year before Michael Jordan and LeBron James joined their team and the year after they left their team, their records were 83-84 bulls 27-55 84-85 bulls. 38-44 92-93 bulls 57-25 93-94 bulls 55-27 98-99 bulls 13-37 without Scottie Pippen 00-01 wizards 19-63 01-02 wizards. 37-45 02-03 wizards 37-45 03-04 wizards 25-57 02-03 cavaliers 17-65 03-04 cavaliers 35-47 09-10 cavaliers 61-21 10-11 cavaliers 19-63 09-10 heat. 47-35 10-11 heat 58-24 14-15 heat 37-45 2013-14 cavaliers 33-49 2014-15 cavaliers 53-29 2017- 18 cavaliers 50-32 2018-19 cavaliers 19-63 2017-18 lakers. 35-47 2018-19 lakers were 20-14 when LeBron James got injured on Christmas day. As you can see When LeBron James joins a team, the team improves more than Michael Jordan and when LeBron James leaves a team, the team always goes into the tank. Michael Jordan, excluding the 94-97 seasons, when the NBA moved the three point line to 22 feet, was a career 28% three point shooter. LeBron James is a career 34% three point shooter Michael Jordan was a great defensive player, in an Era where you could handcheck. Playing defense is much easier when you can handcheck. For nearly 6'9 250 LeBron James' entire career he wasn't afforded the opportunity to handcheck. THE EVIDENCE IS CLEAR..LEBRON JAMES IS THE GOAT!!!!! I have added a Postscript So many have replied, that LeBron james didn't make the playoffs his first two years and Jordan did. What they fail to say is, in 1985, 16 of 23 teams made the playoffs. In 2004, 16 of 29 teams made the playoffs. It was MUCH EASIER. Perfect example is the 1985 86 bulls went 30-52 and made the playoffs and the 2004 05 cavaliers went 42-40 and did not make the playoffs. Also, I don't know, possibly, maybe, Jordan had a HUGE ADVANTAGE considering he played three years of college basketball and LeBron James was 19 years old, and straight out of high school

Its not that other guys sacrificed stats, its more that they were committed to playing their role on the team. They werent trying to do everything and have the ball in their hands every play to get all the stats. Kobe and MJ were 2 guards not points, so they werent bringing the ball uo every possession and orchestrating the offense. They would go to their spots and run the set and let the pg do his job. And on a missed shot they would just box out their man and let their centers and forwards get the rebounds. This meane everyone has a defined job on the team that keeps them engaged the entire time. Its a much better way to play than how stat hogs today try to do things.

A story of player empowerment policy of the NBA. From the marketing and branding standpoint: Storyline of the NBA used to be about winners and winner attitude (stories about MJ and Kobe focusing on winning mentality and spreading positive messages to the viewers) and now storyline is about the freak show athletes and that's the branding approach and the state of the current NBA (reason why media dont like Jokic). Lebron James is just a byproduct of that marketing and branding strategy. Was this branding change a good business strategy? I agree with everything you're saying. It's one thing when you tear it up, but for example, like Kobe had that garbage team a few years and, no matter what he did, I don't think they were ever going to win it all and no one ever expected them to. If he balls out and puts up monster stats you say he did what he could to drag his team there but it's not enough. Now you Surround a superstar with multiple super stars and depthand people will expect you to win more than lose and you can put up big stats but your team s keep losing so you are not doing what it takes, whether that be how the offense is running, the defense you are playing and knowing when to have that killer instinct to take over big games. If you don't and lose more than you win, you look back and realize alot of those stats don't matter and you find a lot of hallow stats.

And a lot of those points came when the game wasn't on the line and when it was he deferred or disappeared. And what ever he did, it didn't lift his super teams to the top. It's not just about points and stats. It about shut down defense and taking over when you feel the momentum shift and your team is looking for a leader. You learn at an early age that basketball is a team sport and the goal is to win. This is one reason that Wilt doesn't get as much credit for his stats. The NBA and liberal sports media had to find a way to keep the current game relevant so it doesn't seem like the best basketball is behind them, despite low ratings. Foreign talent has created some more interest, but the USA needs someone that is native to promote. Curry would probably have become the face of the league had GS not blown that 3-1 lead in the Finals. If you play this game for 21 years with HOFmers and top 75 players, your bound to win a few chips along the way. The media ignores the negative longevity stats like turnovers and missed attempts.

@@manwerama During the 1960s, the Celtics was a super-team which won 9 championships in one decade. The one ring they didn't win was denied to them by Chamberlain's team, and the teams that gave the Celtics the most trouble were consistently Wilt's teams. He wrecked his knee in the 69-70 season, after which he focused almost entirely on defense, but even if he wasn't the most valuable player in the Lakers' 72 championship, advanced stats had him leading the league in Defensive Win Shares in both the regular season and the playoffs. In the three seasons of his career for which the league has stats for available rebounds, which are also the three seasons he played on a busted knee, and in the playoffs he led the league in total rebound percentage every year. Those seasons are also his worst rebounding seasons. At worst, ignoring his offensive qualities, Wilt was a 7'1" Dennis Rodman with a wingspan out of this world. His defense was similar to Victor Wembanyana, in that he didn't have to interfere with the shooter, he could block (and grab) the ball in the air. At best, in the 67 championship, Wilt did everything - led the league in both Offensive and Defensive Win Shares, in PER, in rebounds, in FG percentage (68%!) while dishing out 7.8 assists and playing 45.5 minutes per game.

The fatal flaw of Bron’s game is that his skill set is so diverse there’s no room for other superstars to really play their full game. Bosh/Wade had to dial their game back for “ball dominant make every play” Bron. KLove became a role player, Kyrie went insane in that environment. Only thing you can do for LeBron is play defense and knock down spot up jumpers. Kinda sucks the air out of the room. He’s ineffective without the ball. A bigger Westbrook. MJ didn’t need the ball he worked without it all the time. Catch and shoot all the time. Playmake as well.

Nice job. A lot of people are staring to notice the refs are trying to help the lakers. I wonder how long they can keep it up? Only Lebron can complain about not getting enough calls when his team leads the league in free throws every year.

Goats don't tell us they are the Goats. They be it. Patrick Mahomes just captured his third ring last night. "Goat" never once left his mouth throughout his playing career. He just did it. Lebron was crowned the next one, didn't live up to the lofty expectations placed upon him, and now he's struggling to deal with it. He'll go down as a very good player, but not a goat.

His stats aren't that great though. Look at averages instead of total numbers. They are good, but not great.

One of the greatest athletes of all time and guy who seems to genuinely love winning only cares about stats says the guy that only cares about views. Also includes a picture of Jordan, a guy known for worrying about his own stats. Please don't EVER call yourself a fan of basketball. You guys have completely ruined basketball discussion.

Steve Kerr 4-peated, something Jordan never did. Does that make him the GOAT? No.

I've stated this before Lebron: My ankle hurts, I'll play long enough to get my tenth point and keep that record going. Jordan: I've got a 103 degree fever, I'll score 38 points so my team can win.

Did I hear you say Robert Horry is a potential Hall of Fame player? Not even close. Robert Horry was nothing but a defensive role player who could hit an open 3. He never even started on those Championship teams he was on. His skill set was coveted by Championship teams, but they did not win because of him.

He is for sure hall of famer sorry. The hall of fame doesn't have to be about totals at all or being a started. Manu wasn't a starter, for sure hall of famer. Ben Wallace is a hall of famer mostly not due to his stats but his overall effectiveness on defense.

Dude believed he was going to win like Bill Russell. Once he realized it he turned his focus on stats. Anything to try and convince people he's greater than he actually is.

And suddenly I am reminded of an old Reebok commercial featuring Shaq. As this was Shaq before going to the Lakers, it simply boiled down to having ten fingers and no rings. (And he loved jewelry.) Players understood back in the day that having individual stats and accolades means little if they don't have a ring. That is supposed to be the ultimate goal. Sad how far we have fallen. Lebron will never be the GOAT, no matter how many stats he accumulates.
