The 2014 finals MVP completely changed the narrative for Kawhi, making him look like a superstar since 2014. GUYS KAWHI IS A 3 TIME ALL STAR, for reference, Giannis is also a 3 time all-star, he has been great for the same amount of time as Giannis. Before those 3 years, Kawhi was just a promising young role player for the Spurs. Dwight Howard, yes Dwight Howard, the center who was a 5x all-star, 4x all NBA, 2 time DPOTY, 4 time all defense, in this decade, is the 3rd front court guy.

Kawhi has beat everyone of those players lol. Harden hasn't even won anything. Kawhi on, harden off. Players who shoot 20 free throws a game, an absurd amount of field goal attempts and shoots like 40 percent from the field doesnt b elong on there.

David Elsea Harden does not average 20 free throws a game more 10-13. You know when MJ was putting up 35 ppg and 37 ppg he was also averaging 10-12 free throws a game. And he shoots 45% while always being a league leader in PER. Harden only loses to an all time great warriors team in the playoffs. Only beaten by Lebron without KD and Kawhi when they were injured.

@@davidelsea1296 I've beaten alot of the people on school's basketball team in 1v1, even if I'm better doesn't mean I've been the top player for a decade, and buckets are buckets james harden has been a star longer than kawhi and 36 and 38, is something alot of people can do but they don't harden is the best scorer of this generation so hes on there without a doubt. Kawhi was a role player the first half and was hurt 17-18 he's had 3 good seasons excluding this season, for all-decade melo is higher than Kawhi imo without a doubt Boogie and AD have been better in the decade as well but they barely made the playoffs so I'll exclude them. Kawhi has only had 2 superstar seasons this decade he's on second team at best

​@@victorpetrescu6586 If I was going to make an argument, I would pull up the fact that CP3 never got to the Finals (despite his WS/48), was on teams that continuously under achieved and his personal accolades don't shine as much up against Westbrook's as you make them sound. 8x All-NBA, 8x All-Star, MVP, 2x Scoring Champ, 2x Assists Champ, 3 seasons averaging a triple-double, and he went to the finals as part of what was still a very young Thunder team and probably would have been a champion if they'd have come up against any team outside of the Heat Big 3.

@@mattnorris7124 the 3 seasons he put up a triple double, he got bounced in the first round. I think Westbrook was the more entertaining player and could fill up a stat sheet on a bad or top heavy team if necessary, but I don't think he was necessarily better than CP3. CP3 is one of the best 2-way PGs in NBA history. He could control the pace, is one of the best passers ever, an elite shooter, and a supringsly above average rebounder given his height. I want to have Westbrook higher since he's one of my favorite players in the NBA, but he's a fundamentally flawed player. Effeciency and fitting in on a team matters. I honestly think if you switched KD and CP3 they would have won a title or two. CP3 is the much better shooter, much better defender, and better passer. Westbrook is the better slasher, but he's still extremely streaky at even that because he takes way too may bad and contested shots even in the paint. He's also the much better rebounder, but he's a much worse shooter. I think his rebounding numbers were really inflated when he was the one man show and trying to statpad a bit. We literally have tape of him dragging his feet on defense or boxing out for rebounds his bigs should have gotten. Westbrook is just such a tricky case since I think the way he approaches the game is a fundamentally flawed, but extremely entertaining. If he was a slightly better shooter outside and at the line, it would be a lot more justified. He'd arguebly be even in the top 3 or 4 in that case.

Why everyone so high on Kawhi. He played in 7 of the 10 years. He has 3 allstar appearances in that span. I get he has 2 rings 2 final mvps and a dpoy but as an individual hes had 3 good seasons out of the 10. How is that better than guys you have him ahead. Maybe the issue is there are not a lot of front court depth in the league but I'd still put Dirk ahead of him for the decade. If it was just best 5 positionless. LBJ, Durant, Steph, Westbrook, Harden, Wade, Dirk and CP3 are all better choices imo. They all played the whole decade and all were great for atleast 6 of the 10 years. The 1st 5 were great the entire decade.
