I've been practicing Qi Gong with Lee Holden for 18 yrs now, since he released Qi Gong Flow For Beginners in 2005. It has been transformational for my spiritual and physical practice of Life.

Oh I just loved this video and now want to read James' book that everyone is talking about on this thread. Also, here's an idea for a fun monthly or quarterly video series for social media ... "What's on Lee's Reading / Podcast list?" Boom. You're welcome!

Two of my favorite guys with regard to health. James Nestor speaks truth and so does Lee Holden.

James's book Breath had a massive impact on me - as have Lee's classes. The two of them together... :-) Would love to hear the two in conversation outside of the lesson!

I loved, really loved, this class! I will be doing it regularly. I need to learn how to breath properly and increase my energy. I just got the book, Breath, from the library, too, and will start reading it today. Thank you both for your important work and contribution to the health of the world.

Thank you for sharing so much of your repertoire, Lee, here on You Tube! I love the expansion that goes along with each video...even when there are some ‘exercises’ that you’ve taught us before. The wisdom teaching opens it up even further. 🙏🏽

Thank you for your video, your understanding of qigong is beyond the level of 90% of Chinese qigong enthusiasts. Qigong is one of the treasures of Chinese traditional culture. Whether you are young or old, understand the principles of Qigong or not, you can strengthen your body and prolong your life by following the 8 Baduanjin, 24 or 48 forms every day. Most of these movements come from the imitation of animal movements and the purpose of martial art’s attack and defense, but they cannot be separated from the principle of "will, breath and action, sequence of line". A lot of people's behavior only include ' will and action ', but not 'gas or Qi', you will feel tired, you want to sleep. What is sleep, sleep is a rest without 'will' and 'action' and only with 'gas or Qi'. The reason why experts do not get tired easily is that they understand what they do, they do not rush, 'gas or Qi' is always between 'intention' and 'action'. Children get sick less often because parents give them time to understand and learn about their environment around them and the world. Compared with natural science, morality and life are still very complex for us, so that we have to spend a lifetime to learn and understand, but still cannot understand thoroughly. The good news is that we have simple dogmas to help us understand morality and life. Ethics and laws govern our actions; The simple ideas of Qigong, imitating animal behavior and martial arts of offensive and defensive routines allow us to use less brain and more simple repetitive movements with a 'purpose' to maintain and prolong life.

Are any movements that can assist people in wheelchairs ?
@carmellewis24663 жыл бұрын
Hi Earlana, You can do the arm movements, or if that's not possible, just join in with the breath and you may find a little more mobility is available to you. Also, I saw a video by Lee the other day where he and his mum were standing, but his dad did everything sitting. Hope you can make it work for you. X
@krystalharwood63593 жыл бұрын
he has a routine with his father and mother. Dad is in a chair and Lee instructs how people who cannot stand for long perform quigong while sitting. check it out. just type in lee holden quigong for seniors and click on the first video u see
