Prime minister and chief ministers of India should learn from him. Subsidies are to support poor peoples during economic crisis but in India if you started to giving then you could not stop the subsidies and people will expect to give more. Then the subsidies will become vote bank politics, if govt stop the subsidies then opposition will take the chance to defeat the ruling. This will not improve economy but hurdle to capital expenditure. Tamil Nadu is best example for the failure of past 30 years of governance. Modig your are celebrity now as like TN CM Karunanidhi but after 20 years people will tear down your image and BJP party so change the constitution as per advice in 2024 to unite India for internal peace and security and automatically economic development will boost. At present situation, very very less countries will invest in manufacturing because each country try to hold the technology and manufacturing for their development. The only way to India is R&D and population control. We should research and develop technology and manufacture for aatmanirbar.

Like free bus travel for women , extra rice,electricity, computers for kids etc. Subsidies should simply ensble poor people to survive,so they can study or work so that they move higher up. Sadly most freebies in India are so plentiful that they encourage people to stay poor. An acquaintance of mine is going to under report his income , because while he struggles to earn and pay tax, slum dwellers are happily living on govt. rations and only work if they want to have luxuries once in a while. Our govt hospitals are flooded with people who come to check bp , sugar every day coz it's free. This causes a burden on our few tax payers . I'm not saying nothing should be free, but politicians are pampering the masses this way, while causing lack of funds for important projects like infrastructure and research.
