JOHN GOTTI'S MOST FEARED ENFORCERS | CARNEGLIA BROTHERS | SHOCKING Facts

John Carneglia and Charles Carneglia were two infamous brothers who were hit men in the Gambino Crime Family. John is 2 years older than Charles. Very different personalities. John was a member of the Bergin Crew and was close to Gene Gotti and John Gotti. he gets made in the late 1970s and was part of the cleanup crew on the 3 Capos hit done by Joe Massino. John ends up becoming a lethal enforcer similar to a Joe Watts and is part of the Paul Castellano hit in 1985 and was alledgely the one to rub out Paul’s new underboss Tommy Bilotti. John ends up caught up in the Heroin trial that involved wiretaps on Angelo Ruggiero’s phones and both John Carneglia and Gene Gotti get 50 year prison sentences. After John goes to prison, Charles becomes a bigger and more important member of the Gambino family and is part of the hit on Louie DiBono. shortly after the hit, Charles get his button. He was placed in John Gotti Jr. Crew. John Carneglia was considered the more professional of the two. John had a decent amount of money. Both John and Charles had a junkyard business they operated out of. Charles stays pretty low off the radar but gets caught up in a Gambino indictment in 2008 and is sentenced to life in prison in 2009 for 4 murders. Two informants played a big role in putting Charles Carneglia away including Kevin McMahon and John Alite who were low level associates of the Gambinos. Kevin McMahon was a runaway 12 year old that John Carneglia unofficially adopted and took care of. Kevin was a short guy a little over 5 feet tall and started getting involved with the family somewhat after Charles gets made. kevin McMahon repays the kindness of the Carneglia brothers taking care of him by testifying against Charles. Charles
Is in a life bid currently housed at USP Canaan while John Carneglia got out of prison in 2018 after serving 29 years in a 50 year sentence for Heroin Distribution along with Gene Gotti. Very fascinating tale of two brothers who took different paths to becoming made men in the Gambino crime family.

Charles allegedly also a dissolved John Favara in acid on orders of Angelo Ruggiero and when Ruggiero kept pushing by asking if it was done yet all the time, Charles came to the diner where Ruggiero was eating and threw a small bone of Favara on Ruggiero's plate. That story gave new meaning to the term 'making your bones' to me..

Yeah I know that Willie Boy Johnson had told his handlers that. I have heard a couple of different stories on what happened to Favara. He was definitely kidnapped and taken out. Sad situation. The one part I don’t believe is the story of John Gotti actually using a chain saw on him. I am sure what ever happened was a horrible death but there are still details we don’t know

I knew Charles a little bit, He had a very evil vibe to him very evil eyes and He was so small, He had these little tiny hands I know his lawyer said he was a drunk but I met him a couple of years before he got sent away for life, he always seemed sober, He would walk the treadmill for about two hours a night in the Brooklyn sports club in staret City one exit on the belt Pkwy from Howard Beach. Knowing who and what he was I was scared just to be in the same space as him.
