this is the wobble near the end of the 73/74 season. Harvey was weak. Made Sprake look top class i'm afraid. That was Don's weak spot. If he had done a Brian Clough and bought a Shilton/Banks - someone of that calibre, I think Leeds would have won all the honours they should have.

The rivalry is not Leeds vs Liverpool- instead it is Everton vs Liverpool at Goodison Park and Anfield. The Liverpool-Everton derby has also taken place at Wembley, Villa Park, Old Trafford and Maine Road. I am a massive Evertonian.

@sandcastlejim In his autobiography Peter Osgood said they could never understand why Revie didn't buy a better keeper than Sprake. They all reckoned Sprake must have been Don's secret love child! Wenger is the same. Arsenal could do much better than Almunia or Fabianski yet he can't/won't replace them.
