Signed up for the waitlist and looking forward to the new podcast. But yes first get some sleep! Really enjoyed the recap on the Van and glad the sailing accident wasn't any worse!

Kando footage after the fact would ROCK, I personally love the content from the Sony trips. It’s cool to see you all interact.

That sucks about the van. I had wanted a van for a long time, and I remember watching your build series. It really pushed me over the edge to finally make an investment in my own van. Luckily, being in Central Oregon, rust isn't too much of a problem, but I do like to spend time at the coast, and it always stresses me out. When I get back, I spend a lot of time pressure washing and cleaning the van. Good luck with it, and I hope you have some more cool adventures with it on and off-camera. Jason

If you have any leads on some rust free vans, hit me up haha

That sailing trip was truly a trip of a lifetime, and while I hate that you got hit, getting to hang out in the lodge and drink beers with the locals was a delightful unexpected excursion! Thank you for rolling with the davit punches and hosting an awesome week!

Have you used Fluid Film or Surface Shield or anything like that? It really helps, and you can spray it into the door panels, frame rails, rocker panel cavities, and the backside of any rusty seams with a long tube that they sell to rustproof from the inside out. It can really slow the progression.

I second this. Fluid film has saved my van from rust spreading and I’ve lived with it in the midwest rust belt for 3 years now

Hey - 10 years out of an already rusty van is a good return on investment already. When there is salt on the roads, a new one would have started rusting anyways.

7:00 I really appreciate your response, Levi. My wife and I have a 10 month old and another on the way. That balance makes a lot of sense and it’s encouraging to hear your perspective. Thanks!

Hey Levi! I found you in 2016, when I got my 2005 T1N! It's so funny that I never realized that when you talked about your film on highlining, you were talking about some mutual good adventure friends (Andy Lewis) small world! Anywho, that black death is pretty easy to handle, it is the copper seal on your fuel injectors. The seal on my first injector went out while traveling, and I changed it out in the desert in about 30-45 min. The seals are cheap $20ish for the set of 5. If black death has been present for a while, there is some cleanup, but it's not bad, you can totally handle that. Once you have the injectors out, it's worth dropping them off at a diesel shop to get tested and make sure they are running at 100%, because bad injector is what kills these engines. They can be remanufactured if any of them are running not 100%. If you want to make the removal of the injectors easy, buy or rent a good injector puller, it makes the job easier. Anyway, I love what you do! Keep up the good work!

It's a rainy day here, i've got my office window open and you're just great vibes man. Keep making stuff!

Black Death is the injector leaking not glow plug. Just the copper washer needs replaced. It’s an annoying job, but not difficult. Do it now tho man, oil contamination from all that carbon can clog the oil pickups and mince your big end bearings. A $2 part can turn into a new engine real quick

Your Mercedes Van has lasted longer than mine did. 10 years is a great service especially with off roading on mud, sand, snow and salty roads.

$8900 for a van like that with the 4WD is awesome. Hoping you can get it fixed, if that’s what you want of course. ❤ Would love footage of the van you haven’t released. Still feels like yesterday your pre kid adventures. They’ve grown up so FAST! Smart move with the umbrellas.

I really want to go to one of your adventure classes. I will be on my bike adventure in Korea at that time. I keep missing them. The iphone 15 pro is my favorite as well. It's so convenient to use especially with the iwatch. I will make one of your trips. Hopefully next year.
