I've made this version over 30 years. It's not from scratch but it feeds a few mouths in a pinch when you've had a busy day. 2 pounds hamburger fried, drained and spread in a 13x9 pan On top of meat sprinkle with chili powder and garlic powder and or whatever your favorite seasonings are. On top of that spread 2 cans cream of mushroom soup. Do not mix. Everything is layered. Then spread a layer of shredded cheddar cheese. I use about a pound. On top of that layer a bag of tater tots. 350* for 1 hour or until golden brown and bubbly.
