Legion - Cad Bane Unboxing and Review

I‘m really falling in love with Legion. It’s just seeing my favourite character from Star Wars and being in control of them makes me happy. Am I weird? Probably. I collect Legion so that’s that.

I just started getting into Legion and miniatures in general. Kind of went little crazy on getting both core sets and an expansion for each army and will slowly build them from there with my favorite characters.

I can see two options for dealing with the hat: 1) If you want the hat at a permanent different angle, trim the bare head down until the hat sits how you want it. Make sure to test fit to see it looks right. 2) Hollow out the crown of the hat to fit over the bare head. You can then either glue it in place or use blu tack to hold it in place. I haven't gotten a copy yet, so I don't know how viable this option is. There might not be enough plastic to do this. When you mentioned putting the hat on Padme, it got me to thinking (always a dangerous thing). I could glue it on the back of another character sombrero-style, using thin thread for the ties.

I might be getting into legion soon, and this guy almost single-handedly tempted me to play CIS (with a lot of help from Grievous). He sounds like a lot of fun to play and completely unique. That said, it's almost impossible to get Clone Wars stuff right now, so I'm going with Empire.

Cad Bane has been my favorite bounty hunter ever since the Clone Wars episode where takes on Obi-Wan and Anakin by himself. I cannot wait to run amok with Bane on the tabletop.

I had a bit of trouble getting his rebreather tubes to line up. I used Tamiya Extra Thin and then bent and held them with very fine tweezers. Upon closer inspection, the head wasn’t all the way back, so now I have to putty the gap. Probably why the tubes didn’t line up.

Nice set up with the rules and cards here. Commander option would have been nice, but great for balance. Love the hat. Great for a marker if you don't use in the build

Love your thoughts on using the 3-pip as a way to “teleport” Cad back to your deployment area. Great way to escape a sticky situation or run away with an objective.

Cad Bane is a great character in the show and the game. Now what we need is a cheaper commander option for CIS so it won’t be as difficult to run him in a list.

Comes at the cost of Kablamo or the mind fuckery that is having all three tokens out, but definitely something that can be used for skillfull plays.

@@ExileTwilight I'm sure it highly unlikely but isn't possible that if you go the route of having all 3 tokens out so that Cad Bane isnt deployed and your opponent somehow avoids all of your tokens and then what? Cad Bane never gets to be used? Hows that mechanic work? Is there a rule that allows the cad bane player to trigger it without the opponent getting within range 1?

A lot of lists use both Grievous and Dooku, so can see Cad replacing one of them in those lists. But yeah, really hoping for a generic Tactical Droid or (preferably) a Super Tactical Droid

Link for the curious facebook.com/photo?fbid=1193234487702078&set=pcb.934760413673151 If you want to magnetize the hat, it's not that hard to shave a bit from the interior of the hat to make it fit. The slot is pretty deep, so all you really need to do is reshape the slot, I used a GW scraper and just kind of scraped the edges a bit, tried to make it fit, and repeat until it was at an angle that I was happy with.
