Here's the first in-depth look at the now destroyed E63 AMG Cannonball car! I found a lot of the original Cannonball gear inside and we see if it starts. This auction lot was packed full of interesting cars like a cut in half VW, a Range Rover that actually runs, a modified Coyote Mustang GT, a Maserati with horrible panel gaps and more.

The intrepid/concordes you used to always see were generally with the 2.7v6. The early ones had major timing chain guide issues, and they all had major sludge issues if you didn't change the oil somewhat often. That poor R/T had the 3.5, which were pretty reliable as long as you kept up on the timing belt service, which a lot of people didn't.

Mazdaspeed 3’s were most known for their horrible torque steer lol. But they are good cars otherwise, I’ve autocrossed one on good tires and they are pretty quick! It’s a fast hatchback. The 2.3’s throw rods though if you try to push too much low end torque though. This 2.3 is also the precursor to the modern day 2.3 used in the ford mustangs, focus RS, etc.

I used to have an Intrepid, it was my first car. The thing most people don't realize is only the 2.7L motor had issues and it was because Chrysler put the water pump inside the engine and required it be changed every 100k or so. People of course wouldn't do this and the seals would leak, letting coolant into the oil, causing sludging. My car was older and had the 3.3L which had no issues and hit 200k before I sold it for MORE than I paid for it. I think all I had to do for it was an O2 sensor, wheel alignment/rotation, and oil changes. For $650 it was a lot of car!

I put about $20,000 in to my black 2008 MS3. 29lbs of boost out of a reworked K04. Rolled fenders with 245mm tires on 18" 5zigen wheels. Every suspension part you could buy. Every bolt on you could buy... Then I moved from South Florida to St. Louis, MO where the roads are 90% as bad as in Chicago (my parents live in Elmhurst and my sister was in Boystown before moving to Indie). Between the BC coilovers and the delrin mounts the car felt like it was going to get ripped apart driving across the Poplar Bridge (crossing the Mississippi between IL & MO) every day for work. I ended up selling to my brother-in-law's best friend. He ended up selling it because he wanted a car to work on and I had, more or less, done everything besides pull the engine. Really miss that car. I've been looking for a MS6 to project. Those were the same engine, but a sedan with AWD. I think it wouild be a fun project to go super creative OCD on it.

no, not every AMG has a dead battery if you let them sit for a while. My W210 I left out on the street for 9 months while I was abroad for work, came home and the same night the car started first crank, only thing out of the ordinary was some slight lifter tick for like 1-2 seconds while the oil pressure built up again. If your Benz is draining your battery, there is something wrong with the car, usually it's a module that's keeping it awake and not letting it go into "sleep mode".

I feel that if you stop on a highway without any actual reason, you should yourself take some of the blame. Also, this is exactly why, atleast in Europe, the law generally says that if you have to use the emergency lane because your car has broken down, you put on a yellow safety vest, exit the vehicle and go stand behind the guard rail until help arrives. You do not stay in the vehicle and you do not stand in the emergency lane at all. Most countries you are not actually allowed to change a flat tyre, on the motorway at all, you need to call a towtruck that will tow you off of the motorway, and you do the wheel change there.

I had an 05 LR3, I bought it with 147,000 miles, it was owned by an old man, most things were replaced like air struts in 2015, he could drive anymore . But besides that it gave me many years, including a lot of off roading, without any repairs only oil changes. Not sure if my interior was special, but nothing creaked everything was working flawlessly including the wireless headphones and the rear screens. I drove it to 180,000 miles but unfortunately I got in an accident and the car was totaled because it wasn’t worth much.

Had a Ghibli SQ4, actually a really nice car for the money (used). Not worth it brand new. Go for it, you’ll love the ride and the sound. You will hate the shifter and the cruise control buttons though lol

Speed3 looked like it had wiring for something else. Maybe a split second injection system? But a FBO speed3 makes about 300whp on the stock turbo

@7:58 you see for the first time in any pictures of the interior of this cannonball car, that emergency lights are ready to be used... thats usually always either not shown, or not used due to the legal ramifications if caught in use.

The speed 3 would be somewhat quick. I had a 2007 Speed6, which has the same motor but with AWD and the rear LSD out of the RX-8. Awesome cars, they made lots of the Speed3’s but only 10,000 Speed6’s

I have a Mazdaspeed 6 (four door version of the 3 essentially and AWD) and yes it will scream pretty good. I have the same CS intake on mine that that has and I'm sitting at about 230HP and 15lbs of boost (stock). No tune, stock exhaust.

With exhaust (more importantly downpipe), intercooler, intake and most importantly fuel pump it would make 350 hp, thats when the turbo clocks out. Alteast in my Mazdaspeed 6 (MPS 6 here in EU). The Mazdaspeed 6 also has awd, which is nice.

@@Jukkis112 the speed6 were nice but hard to find a nice one up here. Damn salt they use in the winter and cheap ass people that won't spend $150 to get the car undercoated. Every car I plan on keeping a while gets oil sprayed. Makes working on it easier and keeps the value up as it stays in way better condition.

If that MS3 was properly tuned, and not on the stock turbo, it could easily have +150hp (otherwise, more like +50hp. I know, as I'm running one as my daily at the moment). Problem is, if you get it and it doesn't come with the Cobb access port (the little holder for it was right there, on the left of the steering), you're done. But it didn't look that well maintained, so I would pass.
