+kristof gergely Yeah, that's Freddie Prince Jr. as Fred and Matthew Lillard as Shaggy and for awhile in the early 2000s, they were paired together a lot in movies--this, "She's All That", "Summer Catch". They were like Adam Sandler and his annoying friends until people realized they really weren't anything all that special. Prince has mostly moved on to voice-over work and Lillard mostly does Shaggy. It's like half of his IMDB page.

@goldylover10009 жыл бұрын
It was actually gonna be PG-13 not 18 heck since you're probably in the uk it would have been a 12A or 15 movie but warner bros cut it out same fate happened to osmosis jones and rover dangerfield where rover dangerfield was gonna be R rated and osmosis jones was gonna be PG-13 warner bros chickened out and cut those movies to G and PG I wish I would see the PG-13 cut of osmosis jones cause i like the movie and I think the PG-13 version would be funnier in my opinion but since warner bros loves to cut stuff to appeal to family audiences they did that and those movies bombed at the box office because of both poor advertising and cutting stuff down it's annoying because osmosis jones is a underrated movie that nobody knows about and I highly recommend watching it just skip the live action parts because those parts sucks in my opinion the animated scenes are awesome and it's an awesome movie because the live scenes where barely in it and I'm glad it focused on the good stuff as for rover dangerfield I haven't seen it.

This was *supposed* to be the end of the Nostalgia Critic, because Doug wanted to focus on the (short-lived) Demo Reel. The main reason the Critic came back, is *NOT* because we, the fans, wanted him to come back, but because *HE* wanted the Critic to come back (OK, that may have been the plot to the review goes on, but if you haven't watched by now, clearly you're not interested in watching it). Goes to show: you shouldn't have to do something just because people want you to do it, you should do something because *you* want to do it.

Okay so the original Scooby Doo did rule out magic and actual ghosts, but I'm pretty sure there was an old spin off with Scooby and Shaggy trying to put a bunch of demons and ghost back in some book. And some of the movies had actual ghosts and real monsters - and who can forget Shaggy and Scooby being the unwilling teachers to an all ghouls academy for all the daughters of famous monsters? You can't exactly fault a movie for a gimmick that has actually been used and been successful in past installments. Just fault them for failing at it entirely.

About the Daphne and Fred thing- there was the point when Fred was interested in looking at Daphne's body naked, but that's probably more teen hormones and sexual attraction than a real love interest. There was, however, that scene in the van introducing Scrappy. Fred's arm is around Daphne's shoulder. But, that could also be taken as a friend-friend kind of thing. Otherwise, I know a lot of gay people who like their best friends.

I thought the whole point was that fred an daphne bang each other while lesbian thelma watches helps or stays out. Notice how nothing actually gets done while Scooby and Shaggy are having a chase scene with a song yet rendezvouz with them again once the scene is over.

Okay, fun fact for all you guys: the guy who wrote the script for this disaster went on to direct, wait for it... ...dramatic buildup in 3, 2, 1... ...GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY!!! And you know, I can actually see a bit of GOTG in this mess.
@nicholasmaslennikov212810 жыл бұрын
just curious, where do you see GOTG in Scooby Doo?
@LinkMarioSamus10 жыл бұрын
I just feel like the humor is similar. Yet it works in GOTG while it spectacularly fails here. Who knows?

LinkMarioSamus Maybe because GOTG is a comic book movie?
@LinkMarioSamus10 жыл бұрын
That's true. Not to mention GOTG actually has a good plot. It feels like the Star Wars of our time (and I'd actually say it's better than any Star Wars movie aside from The Empire Strikes Back).

One thing that bugs me about this review is that Nostalgia Critic acts like this was the first movie to make the monsters in it real rather than guys in costumes, when there was a series of Scooby Doo movies that made the monsters real. These included an island full of zombies that was controlled by werecats, a sentient humanoid computer virus and the gang being transported into a video game.

"Is this it? Is this really life? No! This isn't life! This isn't even anything representing life! But it's life for me. It's pretty pathetic, but, it's all I got. I know what you're saying: 'Wow, that's pretty sad', well you know, yeah it is fucking sad. I don't get to go out and hang with friends, I don't even have any friends. I have nobody to, contribute anything to. I have nobody to, talk to and fire things off of, you know, say 'Hey, what'd you think of that? Well, I'll tell you what I think of that', no, it's just me. Bitching and moaning like I always do, and someone say 'Well, that's a pretty sad existence', well yeah it is a pretty sad existence JUST SITTING HERE TALKING ABOUT SCOOBY FUCKING DOO! I MEAN FOR GOD'S SAKE, I'VE NEVER DONE ANYTHING! I'VE NEVER DONE ANYTHING TO MAKE SOMEONE'S LIFE BETTER, OR, OR, GO OUT AND PLAY A GAME WITH SOMEBODY! I WOULD LOVE TO PLAY A GAME WITH SOMEBODY! Wouldn't that be great? I mean, somebody's just like: 'Oh, hey, why don't you come over and play this game with us?' 'What game?' 'Parcheesi!' I don't know what the fuck people are playing, but you know what? It'd be nice! It'd be nice to be invited! I've never even gone out to a bar with somebody, hang with some friends! I've never gone to a-a strip club! Okay, I've gone to a couple strip clubs, but I've never gone with anybody! I've never been there and actually been like... Okay, not with people, but, still, You know what? It'd be nice! It'd be nice just one day to go somewhere, where somebody is just having a good time, and somebody just says out of nowhere: 'Hey, you know what? That guy was OK! Not great, but he was OK', instead of: 'Hey! Who's that little fuckshit?' WELL, I'LL TELL YOU WHO THAT FUCKSHIT IS! HE'S THE NOSTALGIA CRITIC! HE REMEMBERS IT SO YOU DON'T FUCKING HAVE TO! EVEN THOUGH EVERY FUCKING DAY HE EXISTS, HE WISHES HE DIDN'T HAVE TO! HE WISHES, HE DIDN'T HAVE TO DO THIS BULLSHIT, TO MAKE YOU WATCH, AND GET YOU RATINGS! AND WHY DOES IT HAPPEN? WHY DO YOU KEEP COMING BACK? BECAUSE YOU'RE FUCKING SICK AND I'M FUCKING STUPID! THAT'S THE WAY IT IS, AND THAT'S THE WAY IT'S ALWAYS GONNA BE! THERE IS NO CHANGE! THERE IS NO FUTURE! THERE IS NO PAST! THE PRESENT IS A JOKE, EVERYTHING IS HELL! MY LIFE IS HELL! THIS! IS THE WORST THING! A HUMAN BEING! COULD EVER! GO THROUGH! AAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!... So, let's start."

The whole episode is a riff on the final episode of Star Trek The Next Generation right down to the poker game at the end. In the episode Q has created alternate timelines for the past and future Picards which do not necessarily follow the rules of the original timeline.

I would love it if the Critic reviewed the newest Scooby movies, especially Scooby meets Kiss. You cant get more corporate sellout than that.
@maximumrisk20049 жыл бұрын
***** Nope, they are cartoon movies, but the Kiss one is insane. The Ghost is after the Stone of Kissteria, which is its own Dimension where the Kiss Army lives. Kiss even does Sailor Moon transformations.

***** You should watch it, its a mindfuck. I cant even count how often I went WTF?
@maximumrisk20049 жыл бұрын
***** I agree Scooby has done Crossovers so far and I am cool with Guest Stars. Scooby and KISS however throws the formula out the Window. The Scooby gang are "drugged" bystanders, while KISS transforms Sailor Moon style, they fly with a Ship hidden under their Themepark through a Ferriswheel into their own Dimension of Kissteria to hunt the Witch. Did I mention KISS has superpowers in the form of Rock and Roll? I wish I was making this shit up.
