To get to hold, comfort, feed, bless, & help heal those beautiful children! What a beautiful gift she was given & received!❤🌹❤ I got a couple broken babies out of a meth house! The recovery years were trying, exhausting & beyond taxing! At times scary, our best dog poisoned etc! But I got the meth house closed, prosecutions happened & the babies got saved! Much recovery happened in the first year, though still in visits with abusers for a few years. They are now adults & planning their weddings & futures! It took all of me, & probably took years off my life! I would do it all again in a heart beat! Some of the adults even ended up in recovery!

This film should be required for all high school students along with so many other films!!!! This is something I wasn't aware of when the war ended as this wasn't brought up in school or any of the books that I had read about the Holocaust. For kids and adults to have suffered through the Holocaust and then to suffer the agony, heartache, torture, beatings, physical and verbal abuse, starvation, lack of employment, housing, food, etc after the war is horrendous!!!!The ignorance of the Holocaust to this day is astounding and extremely frightening😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Inspiring movie of a woman who gave what she could and didn't let others opinions interfere with her conviction. Is this type of insight missing in today's world? I think giving to others that have less and are disadvantaged is the only way we can make the harshness of the past bearable. But it doesn't mean we overlook the tragedy of the Holocaust and those who were victimized by ruthless and self-serving men and women all of whom were criminals acting out their hateful prejudices.

@@Jasonnn17 Don’t you agree, it was a time where humanity just evaporated, just think of a plan to just pick a segment of the public & like a factory at work, they are kicked out of their house, everything is taken, lined up in the street, herded away onto a train, stripped naked & marched into their death & w in an hour, they are ashes, it’s mind numbing & where does hate on this level generate from???? It is just unreal & ya, after WW2 you figured things calmed down, but no, they dealt w “collaborators”, AKA people trying to adapt & survive, the random raping that went on & switch gears to the Batan Death March, 50-60 miles & if u stopped for water, you were killed, it simply BLOWS my mind & there are so many layers to it, how bout the kids born of German rapes, I’ll bet their lives were impacted from Day 1, you couldn’t make this up in Hollywood, but it happened 75 years ago (seems like I used to say 40-50) haha

This is the 2nd time ive seen this movie. Im heartbroken to know how innocent children were so very mistreated, murdered starved and persecuted. To be fired upon for just trying to survive because of hatred and prejudice is appalling .bless this womans precious soul and others who assisted in delivering these innocent children to a better and safer life they deserved. Its shocking that this could even happen in our History, but it did. We must never forget the mistakes of the past so as not to ever make them again and give honor and respect to those who survived and to those who didnt. God has seen his angels to protect his own. 🙏

Such a beautiful story! So much history that can not be forgotten! Was talking with my grandkids this evening! This is a movie I can let them watch at 12, 10, & 9. If we don't learn history & teach it to our young, then we are doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past! GOD BLESS all who stand for FREEDOM! Content of Character not color of skin! Struck me that growing up in the 60s-70s all the jokes & disparaging comments & racism was strongly projected at the Polish! I never got it, why were they so bad & stupid that it took so many to screw in a light bulb! Lol Propaganda, regardless of race or creed! Was telling my grandaughter, blonde with darker skin, when friends at school discussed her coloring, that were need to learn more about her maternal lineage! Her Mom is 50% Cuban. Beautiful young Iady, but was adopted & knows only a little about birth parents, & heritage! My grandson is the spitting image of her biological Dad & I was blessed to get pictures with them both when he was an infant! The grandfather cried when I asked if I could have a picture of them! ❤ He wasn't able to parent his numerous kids, but he clearly cared! Always wanted to chat with him more! He & others like him could easily warn us about current events in major nations at the moment! GOD BLESS ALL who stand for FREEDOM & especially the innocent!

HE promised me 50 yrs ago as a small child hiding in closet crying out to HIM, why? Why me? HE answered we wouldn't understand it all, but HE would never leave us or forsake us! People tried to take my life repeatedly, starting quite young! It hasn't been always easy, but HE has blessed me in the midst of the worst storms & even pow experience! HE knit you in your mother's womb & has a special purpose for you! The choice is yours, HE is quite the gentleman in that regard! But when we separate from HIS Covenants, that causes us to be taken from HIS umbrella of protection so to say, not that HE can't still save, but HE does respect our choice in the matter! Wonderful woman! This story reveal for me that hate is the worse illnes! I wish that people learn that beeing different is nor beeing worse, that we can learn from each others historyes and traditions and that with respect for others people and gentile curiosity for what they are and good thinks who they can bring în our lifes we can make the world a better place for all of us.

A lady who saved a hundred kids and she died in 1987 why was she not in HISTORY BOOKS being taught in High School so even I would have known about her instead of after her death. The life and times of war needs to be seen so History doesn't repeat its self. This is what needs to be taught in schools NOW

wow, no one ever talked about or wrote about the trauma of the children right after the war. I thought I had read everything possible about the holocaust and this was a great eye opener.

The suffering of the Jewish people is beyond comprehension. Inexplicable, the way a supposedly 'civilized' nation behaved. Shameful beyond all else.

This is an extraordinary and touching film that shows how Antisemitism was still alive even after the 2nd World War. How brainwashed people can have so much hate toward kids. And the movie doesn't even tell us everything. For example, during the siege of the orphanage 2 kids were killed. Also, some teenagers decided to stay in France.

I wonder how many people like this were out there that we don't know about. Seeing a need & finding a way to deal with it. I'm guessing this was filmed in Canada since so many of the supporting actors are Canadian. Actually, Linda might be the only one not Canadian.

The power of one! See what each and every one of us can do, much like today when people think they are better because they have the jab and the Jews are represented as the unjabbed, its sad what pride and hatred can do and it's even more amazing when people rise up with love in their hearts and do these amazing things. That gap in your heart is where Jesus belongs, let him fill your heart by asking him in and go on to do mazing things! John3:16

A lot of unimaginable cruelty, but with some rays of true kindness shining through. Linda Carter is a beautiful woman and a very talented actress. During that time one of our ministers and two other of our friends survived the Bataan death march. My nephew’s wife uncle was one of the other men. His younger brother had been drafted into the army. However, since he had a family and the older brother wasn’t married, the older brother took his place. A beautiful picture and example of brotherly love. 👨‍👦👨‍👦Two of our sister ministers were also, executed by the Communist Nazis.
