The film showcases the absolute rancid toxicity of corporate leadership vs. the guys who DO know better. The military is JUST as bad, but any GOOD Senior NCO will tell you "You NEVER question the guy in the foxhole with a rifle." THAT is what this movie is truly about: the absolute S**Tstorm Shelby had to go through in order to simply GET Ford INTO racing, much less get the car to the W. @TheFikri136 the film DOES make fun of Ferrari... watch the main race again. Now, Ferrari had an AMAZING car in this historic sequence of events, and Ken put it best: "If this were a beauty contest, we just lost." Ferrari's car was was elegant and fast, unfortunately, it was not brute-rugged. Ford wasn't elegant, but it was fast, it was over-built, and it was HUNGRY. In order to get to where Ford WAS, they had to COMPLETELY gut and rebuild their bureaucracy in the 70s and 80s. Things are bad once again, and that sucks, but look at Chevy and their bureaucracy.
