Just stumbled across your channel. Really great refreshing content, man! Leonhart has gotten progressively more cringy and almost desperate feeling the past year or so. After getting back in to Pokemon a couple years ago, and exhausting the nostalgia of watching him and other people rip vintage packs I could never buy, I kind of naturally gravitated towards channels that I realized were just cool genuine people building communities. After getting in to that and going back to watch some Leonhart videos, his whole attitude just felt way more like a facade. That's why someone like CTR is great to watch. I also get frustrated and want to throw cards in the trash or at the wall when I spend money and get absolutely no hits. It's refreshing to see someone else feel the same way.

the problem with leon saying he's introverted is that he keeps revealing or focusing on personal life, and does that weird thing with uplifting music or does a blankie time. it's one thing when we hear about actors who are introverted irl but on stage can light up. that's one of the problems with social media hounds, things like youtube. it's hard to disconnect your personal life with entertainment value with the constant feedback loop and direct access. actors can at least get a media team or agent to sort-manage that crap.

Well to be honest, my Big Number 1 was always Max, but he stopped making videos about opening packs, so I went to other places and was super bored with the family friendly channels like Rev and Leonhart that I replaced him with, no offense to them. I'm glad I stuck with it though, because I found Possum and CoolTrainerRyan that have satisfied that, "Yes, I am a an adult R rated man that still plays every Pokemon Game and opens packs because it's a comfort to me since I've been doing it since I was a little kid." Leonhart rubbed me the wrong way way back when he made his like 4th "please sympathize with me and watch my videos" sob story in the span of a few months. Like dude, you are literally wealthy and have access to basically whatever packs you want. Why are you begging me, an average guy, to watch your videos?

The problem is that obviously he knows that those videos get him views. He'd previously done one in a park where he'd talked about how he was upset that he hadn't met his marks. That's a community problem. Primetime Pokémon had a similar exit at one time for similar reasons. Although he's one of the most modest and genuine creators of Pokémon content, he still got discouraged by the way the Pokémon community has valued content. Look at these videos, even the ones you're producing. It's like a talk show segment. It's hardly about the hobby and what it inherently is at all. Investing, gossip, releases, an opening here & there. The Pokémon community is regressed. The original PokeTubers are obviously discouraged to some extent and rightfully so

Let me tell you, this video got me to subscribe your channel. It's funny because when I got back into the hobby around mid-2021, Leonhart was the guy I watched for content. Then I started watching Rev, CTR, Pokeballer Mike, etc. who produced more interesting content and interact with or give back to this community. I realized his lack of authenticity (click bait videos, "mystery boxes" that he seemingly made for himself, failed silent library, etc.) started leading me away and toward the genuine poketubers listed above. Something I feel you missed in this video though was that he will be doing weekly live streams, where he has the opportunity increase that revenue he's been losing from the algorithm by receiving super chats and stickers, memberships, etc.

I just subbed a couple days ago after watching your videos on Leonhart. As soon as I saw his video yesterday I knew you'd have something good coming 😂. I laughed out loud when he said he doesn't go chasing the algorithm considering the number of videos he made about a year ago crying about not getting enough views because the algorithm wasn't recommending his videos to enough people because Pokemon is classified as "kids content". What a tool.

I definitely don’t watch him as much as I once did. I will always be grateful to Leonhart, because he was the person who really got excited about Pokémon. I got into the hobby because of him, and now I love Pokémon. He inspired me to create my own channel, Nate too. I’m really into modern, and Leonhart really isn’t. You can tell. He almost has a hidden hatred for it. At least, that’s I feel. I hate clickbait videos. You could totally tell that’s what this one was, so I didn’t even watch it. I’m not going to waste my time. I rather watch your take on it. It’s definitely more entertaining. Keep it up bud.

You as always right on point. My biggest issue is the messing with peoples mental state with a title like that. PBM did a vid talking about it. coming from someone who only recently started delving into the poketuber world i have to say the guy sound like a robot in almost all of his videos, i'll thank you for introducing me to his content... idk man just sounds like some cash cow shit moving on to the next big thing, i would not be surprised to see him start doing digimon videos next week.
