Loved the video. A friend gave me a gecko who was badly treated with other person, but... I'm not an specialist in geckos... I'm from Brazil and they are illegal here, but largely kept as pets anyway... is hard find help with care, people who breed geckos here are so arrogant that is impossible to get any help. Your video has really helped me. Yet, I don't even know the morph of my gecko yet.

This is a big NO to wrap a heatpad in a towel without a thermostat. That is for sure a disaster! Always use a reliable thermostat when using any heat pads/tape.

Our local electric company built a little pallet for their small power supply/generator and gave it to me for my Leos tank. It fit perfect

My husband has had his leopard geckos for about 4 years. They never mated so we just thought they were both boys, Bob and Spot, weve always kept them together in their tank. About 1 week ago Bob laid an egg. My husband and I were both so impressed. We made and incubator for the little egg and everything is going great. The only issue is that Spot and Bob keep fighting. We are really new in this so if someone can please help us. Do we need another tank for Bob?, Is this normal? 😭 hope you guys read this please helpp

20 gallon long. I use a small heat pad and a 100 watt CHE for winter/supplemental heat. I use thermostats with probes. I also use halogen. Great video

Oh cool! Yeh if I was solo keeping geckos a 20-gallon would be my choice most likely! Do u decorate yours?

@@GeekyGeckoCreations I do with fake vines and a few different fake leaves, paper towel for now but probably will go with slate, however if I think I will try to modify a piece of solid wooden furniture/build my own enclosure:) in the near future.

@@rdnkenki Oh cool! A good option for loose substrate too is Organic Top soil / Play sand mixture from home depot. If you want a bio active kinda thing but cool man I look forward to seeing it!

@@rdnkenki totally get it, theres a lot of neg stigma attached to it. But If you dont want any sand you can do just 100% Organic top soil or 100% eco earth, but you'd just have to keep those substrates slightly damp to make sure they weren't too dusty :) but yeh slate will work great too!

So how does the Turcmenicus, Fascio, Afghan types? I thought they were wild? They are still old captive bloodlines?

Yup, there are about 7-8 species and sub species of leopard gecko, maybe more, but only about 4-5 of them have been proven to be interbreed able and thrive with each other. But they are all from different countries, cities and states sometimes :)

Pretty tough to get a correct heat gradient in a 10 gallon tank

Hornworms and Dubai Roaches are NOT high in fat.

Maybe I phrased that wrong. If you only feed dubias, your geckos will most likely make your geckos over weight "if" you feed too much, verses mealworms are much ahrder to make your geckos over weight on. This may have to do with the calcium content in roaches, as seen in this nutritional table dubiaroaches.com/blogs/feeder-insects/dubia-roaches-vs-common-feeder-insects When i fed only dubias when there was a mealwormd shortage almost 75-80% of our geckos developed those armpit bubles which some people call fat sacs or calcium sacs, so that is more or less what i meant, but you are correct the table above shows the nutrional breakdown of all insects, thanks for the point out! :D

I would not use eco earth because my friend used that and her Leo got compacted and had to go to the vet spag moss is way better DO NOT USE ECO EARTH FIR A HUMID HIDE
