For now, these bioenergetic exercises will deal with 1. Fear of falling / Fear of Failing and 2. Fear of Expression. To do this, we focus on releasing fear in the body where there is usually most neurotic holding patterns. We will focus on releasing muscular tension on our lower backs, breathing, opening our chest, and releasing fear in our eyes.
If you are interested in learning why and how this Psycho Somatic therapy works so well, the best intro book for Bioenergetis is by Alexander Lowen himself, "Bioenergetics: The Revolutionary Therapy That Uses the Language of the Body to Heal the Problems of the Mind"
Just like with all psychosomatic therapies, these bioenergetics exercises need to be experienced by the practitioner to get the results. In this video the exercise routine is as follows:

MEDICAL CHECK IN
Bioenergetic exercises are great for changing and upgrading our lives, however, this course it is not suitable for everyone. There are two areas you need to check on before getting into this course and beginning the series of exercises.
1. Mental Health
If you've ever been diagnosed with a psychiatric condition, then you need to check in with a suitably qualified person before beginning these exercises. If you have specifically been diagnosed with one of the following conditions, then you will certainly be excluded from doing these exercises on your own: history of psychotic episodes, schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, and related conditions usually treated with heavy, suppressive medications.
If you currently are taking any form of inhibitory or mood altering-medication or have a history of injecting drug use, then you need to get medical advice prior to beginning these exercises. If you have a serious emotional or personality problem, do not attempt these exercises alone because they may lead to feelings that are more than you can handle alone. Here as mentioned earlier, it is necessary to get some professional advice.
To be clear, you need to have a relatively normal ego to practice Bioenergetic exercises without expert supervision. People not on medication but experiencing an emotional difficulty or even a “low level” mental health condition may find these bioenergetic exercises beneficial, yet it must be done prudently. If at any time you are threatened or overwhelmed by your feelings during an exercise, stop the exercises immediately, allow the feeling to subside, and seek professional help.
2. Physical Health
If you have any physical disability or illness, you should consult your physician before undertaking any program of exercises, including this one. The exercises by themselves are in no way dangerous or harmful to the body even in the case of illness, but for physical disability or illness, they should be done with the approval and guidance of a medical doctor.
Even though these exercises are not nearly as physically damaging as most gym workouts, you still need to be aware of any injuries or physical conditions you have had in the past. If this is true in your case, understand each exercise before starting, go slow, and ensure that you won't be over stressing a part of your body that you have had issues with in the past. Please take care and check in with a physical health specialist if needed.

you mentioned fear of the future.. I felt that and then began laughing for the rest of the exercise. confident laughing because I saw. THERE IS NO FUTURE we never experience "later" That thought just made me see the absurdity of fearing what is "next" So laughter/ courage/ confidence came up. btw you got ballz posting these. appreciation man.

Such a beautiful share thank you for this. I've been holiding alot in my lower back recently and I have pulled it multiple times, and this has helped to release some of what I was holding on to. Going to be doing this more in the coming weeks.

Yes, the back of our body is the dumping ground for our egos. Anything repressed gets stored there. Almost like out of sight, out of mind. It's so interesting. And then the lower back is the one riddled with the most holding patterns. You are definitely not alone in this. Glad you found this video and that it's supportive.

@@irenawilkosz9726 That's great! I hope they benefit from it. And yes, I was a friar (similar to a monk) for 5 years. I ended up not taking the solemn vows. It was a powerfully transformative 5 years but it was not meant to be for the rest of my life. I left the friar life over 3 years ago and am now getting married in 2 months! 😲😄😊

@@HealingHouse88 that great. I was surprised that somebody who is involved with church can teach techniques who help others to released negative emotions. I was Catholic for years, and what I heard in church it was " you are a sinner". I am still Christian, but I am not involved in any church. Congratulations for Your wedding. I am grateful for your work, you can reach more people doing Alexander Lowen's work and heal them.

@@irenawilkosz9726 thank you. Yes, I am noticing that sharing Lowen's work will be a big part of my life moving forward. I know it is great but it's not "the end all be all." Loving God and accepting God's love is something that I think is the highest level...but so much of our trauma, pain, and brokenness doesn't allow us to get there 😑 so step 1, we release and heal 🙏

Yes, both of those come from righteous anger that was not allowed to be expressed- usually to one of our parents. The muscular and psychological holding patterns now don't allow your love to flow fully and freely. You can allow yourself now to experience and express that anger (kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJiZnqKljrGBa9U) without judgement and without hurting anyone. At some point, the bitterness and animosity will decrease and forgiveness can begin to unfold. Sadness from the hurt that was inflicted on you can also be something you will need to experience (kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqiskJJprMqEsKs). I too know bitterness and animosity as many of us have been hurt without deserving it. My suggestion is to be kind to yourself because what happened to you and your response to it is natural and right for that stage of life- however, you also have the responsibility to yourself to heal in order to not continue to live in that state. It would also be beneficial to pray for the gift of forgiveness or if you are Catholic, go to confession when you find out the root of what has been causing the animosity/bitterness. Hi Evgeniy. Grounding and breathing deeply will help with nighttime anxiety as it takes us out of our heads. There's also a need for us to work on our pelvis and psoas which when tightened keeps us in a state of fight or flight. I'm hoping to make a video about that soon. My suggestion is to notice next time you're in that place of attack, don't judge it, but just notice your breathing, your thoughts, and what's going on in your body. That'll give you a lot of insight into where in your body you can use the most release. The thoughts are important too because they are mostly lies and can be rejected and rewired. Please share with me what it's like and what you discover.
