English Bits меня зовут José, but I am not Spanish, Katia. That j sounds like sh in English. I am from Portugal 🇵🇹 ,and you were in Portugal. I am so glad you were there. I hope my compatriots treated you like a princess 👸.

@@Theyoutuberpolyglot I like Portugal, especially El Algarve.
@Theyoutuberpolyglot4 жыл бұрын
English Bits I was born in Viseu. Close to Porto. Sintra is also a nice city if you like castles 🏰. The north of Portugal 🇵🇹 is for people who like the countryside. Yeah 😎 Algarve and Lisboa is for people who like the beach 🏝. Portugal is similar to Spain 🇪🇸. Ok ,Portuguese People speak good English ,and they are willing to learn other languages. Don’t be surprised if the people from my country speak Russian to you. French and English are very popular in Pt. More and more people study Russian and Chinese at this day and age. The languages of the future. Russian doesn’t have dialects- that is so nice 👍.

Thank you, nice video! May I ask you? The expression "it is what it is " is only for a bad situation? Can't we use it for something that could not be so bad? Perhaps: - I really love your videos! Can't you make more than one per week? - I am sorry I don't have much time at the moment, it is what it is. But I will try next month. :)
@englishbits4 жыл бұрын
This expression is only used for negative situations. For now I make one video a week cause I don't think I have time to make two high quality videos a week. But you can watch my old lessons 😉

"Each to his/their own" Is like "different strokes for different folks?
@englishbits4 жыл бұрын
It's similar but I believe different strokes for different folks implies that different people do things in different ways. I think it's like the British idiom "horses for courses".
