I would recommend to you the film "Lonely Wives" that Edward Everett Horton stars in--in fact he plays two roles in it. His characters aren't as likable as in this film but just as entertaining, if not more so! And the film as a whole is very entertaining as well, with excellent supporting performances. "Lonely Wives" can be found for free on KZbin as well. As a side note, another excellent comic actor did Edward Everett Horton's parts in "Lonely Wives" on stage before the film version: Charlie Ruggles!

Edward Everett Horton, a fine comedian who graced musicals and comedies in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. His double takes, crooked grin and nervy physique delighted filmgoers for years

I agree with all the E.E.Horton fans out there,as I have never seen a film , with him in it,that I didn't enjoy!! Also,it's nice to have him in a leading role for a change, his timing was impeccable and often lifted a meagre role into a memorable one!! Thanks for this upload, what a treat !

Edward Everett Horton spent most of his time as a supporting or character actor. This is one of his rare lead roles, and in a major studio film to boot. And he used that unique voice to reach a younger generation, narrating Jay Ward's animated "Fractured Fairy Tales" in the 1960's.

Horton was very good in this zany COMEDY as he was in so many carture parts he did in so many movies ...😇❤...He showed perseverance and stuck to his guns and his old comrades, to make good on he and the towns money, they where scammed out of....by two con men !😠 Who got their just dues , by his old army buddies !!🤔😇 this movie is well worth any movie buff who likes comedy to enjoy this picture !!🎥💖

I am an E.E. Horton FAN!!!!!! His lightning quick double takes are very funny and clever to me...The busted frames don't matter a bit...it's all about his GENIUS!!! They'll be watching him in 500 years, if humanity survives....To other fans, please watch: "It's A Boy!"; also, the great one with Cary Grant (E.E. he plays the best valet...another with Douglas Fairbanks, Jr....) THANKS, THANKS, THANKS for posting...I will subscribe...
