That moment of realization when you aren't the one bringing hope to Rimuldar. But Elle is.

And we've officially been put into crunch time, plot-wise. In case you've not been following along with the general tone, sure, Tofu's been laying the groundwork and building new foundation, she's the mover and shaker, but she hasn't been the town darling, has she? No, it's been the sweet, gentle nun burning the candle at both ends, giving everyone something to believe in. The Hades Condor has focused its attention on the one bringing hope back. It's not Tofu. It's Elle. And something tells me when Tofu denies it Elle's life, that disease-spreading pigeon is gonna lose its last nerve. ...Also, bit of a thing to be noted. Remember Cantlin, how...even though the Dragonlord obviously set an absurdly lopsided stage, it was humanity who ran themselves headlong into the deep end of it? Now we have Gerontius, the person best-equipped to help save people from the various ills or at least help them endure, and he's stubbornly tried to impose his view of "nah, we should all just die" on everyone else, idling -- even almost so committed as to sacrifice his granddaughter to that stubbornness. It took him to personally risk losing something to finally care. Between Cantlin turning on and robbing each other to keep ahead, and doctors refusing to save others in their own disillusionment... Two towns so far where humans being assholes brought things to their lowest point. Huh.

I saw Gerontius's saying the blight wins as only that last illness. He wasn't saying don't cure people of the ones we know how to cure, but that last illness is too strong and the cost of trying to find how to cure it would be a lot of people's lives same as Illus had done. It's not so much he's saying it's pointless to save people, more how much death is it worth to try to find a cure. That's a very real question in modern medicine, how much should we risk people we're testing on for the chance of finding a cure.

Slime Immemorial plays the CHIPTUNE version? SWEET. Also I recognize the icon for the item to heal Elle. And that, THAT is some powerful stuff. Like legendary end game powerful.

Yikes! The Hades Condor went all Resident Evil on this. That tune is the 8bit version of Dragon Quest III's town theme.

The Lyre is from Chapter 3 I think, one of the challenges gives it. It does more than just the town's NES music, too: the overworld, night time, battles, and dungeons also change. TWELVE ballistae? I think I did it with just two, though I built a platform in the middle of town and fired from there.

I've seen a few videos of people showing off their towns in this game (so far only looked at chapters 1 and 2, don't want to be spoiled) and apparently you can build rooms underground Like, dig a staircase down and put a room down there, and it will count This could be used to solve any "I don't have room to put a room" issues you may face, and you can just put unimportant rooms, like the one for the colossal coffer, down there, since you don't really need to ever go there
@MagnificantSasquatch5 жыл бұрын
Here's the thing, though: rooms outside the given boundary don't count as actually being within the town; you're just building things at that point. It won't be recognized as a room, and it won't give you points. You can only work from the surface of where the flag is planted and up. ...And for this town, trust me; you wanna build up _some,_ but no higher than two stories.
@Deathnotefan975 жыл бұрын
MagnificantSasquatch from what I've seen, the boundary goes underground too I don't know by how much, but there were rooms underground, and they were labeled as proper rooms Not to mention that Naka is already building below the flag

Out of room for another room? Most of your town is open unused space, there's more than enough. I remember in one town I decided to have it be one big labyrinth town building the walls in such a way that every single square was part of a room, even turning a one-block wide hallway into room by having the floor be made of pots and a chest for a pottery. It was a pretty fun set-up, though a little confusing to find your way around

It's a little weird that they talk so much about whether they should stop trying to cure the blight while they don't have any patients left. It'd make more sense if you'd brought back another sick patient from Illius's area or something, so there was someone you could be trying to save at the time.
@ICountFrom05 жыл бұрын
Hrm, maxing out... One more portal for the triple portal room and maybe the plant harvesting room where they harvest and replant the crops for you? You could do a bench based "looking at" garden room of some kind. Maybe some paths or do matierals only count as walls? You could be cheeky and make the pot room or the treasure chest room? For decorations, I might have looted the banners from the outside of the locked rooms. So many options, and no wrong ways to play.

I'm surprised you haven't checked out if you could make better armor at the Sewing Station, I'm pretty sure you could make something real fancy with the sapphires you got a while ago

I'm wondering about something potentially questionable (that spoils the end of the episode so beware)... Is it actual possible to kill Elle there or are they just adding it for dramatic effect? I can't find any video of people even attempting it...maybe I'm just too much of a dick to NPCs in video games.
@MagnificantSasquatch5 жыл бұрын
Considering the game works on a mission-based progression system of event flags, no.
