LADY LOVE DIES "INVESTIGATION FREAK" IS ON THE CASE
Paradise is an island that regenerates every few millennia. The psychic power that the alien worshipers within release into the universe is meant to feed and eventually resurrect their fallen deities. But this force also attracts undesired interest from demons, who eventually corrupt each island - until a new alternate reality is birthed by the Council.
The system isn’t perfect, but it will be one day - on Perfect 25, the next island-to-be. But on the eve of rebirth, the Council is murdered and Paradise is killed.
In the aftermath, the “investigation freak” Lady Love Dies is summoned from exile to find the culprit. This is the crime to end all crimes.
What are the facts? What are the truths? Are they the same?
BREATH LIFE BACK INTO PARADISE
You are tasked with finding the killer and building an airtight case against them. Take your case to trial and argue your interpretation of the evidence. Only when someone is successfully convicted can the crime be considered solved and Paradise be saved.
FACT AND TRUTH ARE NOT THE SAME
The “truth” is that there are many possible killers, and many ways to build a case. Even if you make a convincing case for prosecution and get someone convicted, is the mystery really solved?
EXPLORE AN ISLAND FULL OF SECRETS
Paradise is an island set in an alternate future history filled with cryptic lore and even more mysteries. Examine bizarre relics to learn more about this world’s surreal history.
FIND YOUR PARADISE
You choose who to accuse, and build a case to support conviction. Everyone on Paradise has a secret to hide and something to gain. Old friends become new suspects, forcing you to choose between the evidence, the greater good and your own beliefs. There are many possible murderers, but who you pick will define your own personal truth.
GATHER EVIDENCE
Let your personal computer and electronic assistant Starlight be your guide through another dance of an investigation. Collect evidence, record testimony and interpret the facts to form your own truth.
UNLOCK HIDDEN AREAS
Solve hieroglyph puzzles on ancient nightmare computers to discover new areas of the island, find concealed evidence and reveal terrifying secrets.

already better than Yiik by a long shot, you sound like you are actually enjoying yourselves 29:15 reminds me a bit of "avernum", where there are mages who open portals to different dimensions trying to find gods and angels, but every reality they connect to only contains demons. But they keep trying. in that game it is just an aside, but I think you could build much more of a metaphysics from that.

so, judging by Lady Love Dies' age of 3 million days, the current year is /at least/ AD 9219 AD 1000 + 8219 years + however old LD was before she got exiled

The islands were created in the early ADs, and she was banished like 10+ islands in. Since the shortest island ever was over 200 years and some lasted millennia, it's probably at least past AD 20k, probably more.

@@wobblysauce It doesn't really matter how long ago it was, it's just interesting to think about it. It IS all internally consistent and there are in-universe explanations for how everyone's still alive and all that, but for the story to work it might as well have been 300 years.

I don't think I can't get used to it... there is something really weird when you see someone driving the car from the right seat. CONTRITE: feeling or showing sorrow and remorse for a sin or shortcoming. It comes from "contrition"... This LP already feels like a BETTER blend of the last two LPs, YIIK and Ace Attorney (yeah yeah, I know you love the series, but it was a so so game) The Sing of Punishment: BANG!

It really annoys a lot of people when people attempting to do an English (not British) accent refer to it as a British (not English, when it is English) accent. It means a lot to just specify at least that because nobody expects others to know there are also many very distinctly different accents and dialects in England alone, not just RP English which is what most people doing an English (not British) accent try to do. I want to say I'm not saying this to be hurtful, I just wanted to let you know because it's always the little things that build up, and people appreciate just recognition of things that are relatively obvious to those living in the UK
