I think I had all 7 Emeralds by the end of Hydrocity. 1 big ring in Angel Island Act 1. 2 In act 2. 2 in Hydrocity Act 1, and 2 in Act 2. There's either 8 or 9 in Marble Garden Act 1.

Man I must be the master of this game. My record # of rings for a zone in Sonic 3 and knuckles is over 700. I've gone to 99 lives and when you get there, every life you get is meaningless because the lives column doesn't make three digits. I usually get all the chaos emeralds by carnival night in the Sonic 3 portion. In the next portion where all the emeralds are "super" I usually get to hyper sonic/super tails by lava reef.

ivor edwards Still there's far worse levels than Marble Garden...like Hydrocity Act 2,Carnival Night Act 2,Ice Cap act 1 and 2 etc. And I already said why I liked Marble Garden in my Original Comment...it gives you a lot more freedom and it's really open....it's also a really big zone with lots of pathways Only complaint I have is that by act 2 it gets a bit long...but I love act 1

ivor edwards I really don't like playing as Knuckles in this stage actually...I'm fine with Sonic or Tails but not with Knuckles Act 2 still feels so much longer than Act 1...and maybe it's because while Act 1 is long it feels satisfying but then Act 2 comes in and you're kind of tired of MGZ already if you know what I mean Still nowhere near as long as Carnival Night...I really hate that act 2 of Carnival Night sometimes

If you know how to use it the fireshield is pretty good in my opinion. It is definitively better than the bubble shield. Come on how is being immune to fire and being able to fly horizontally in a fast charge not better than breathing underwater (IF THERE IS ANY DEEP WATER!!) and bouncing? Wtf man... Lol
