I've been seeing it as the four Suite clones as Essex Clones, not "Sinister clones". Instead Sinister is one of the four Suite clones: Diamond-Mr. Sinister - focus on mutants Club- Dr. Stasis - takes the Human's side Spade/Ace- Orbis Stellaris - interest beyond the stars Heart- Mother Righteous -magic I think main reason why the Essex clones have an interest in the Summers line is because of when Scott & Jean time-traveling to Victorian age and encountered Nathaniel Essex

Spot on about them being Essex clones with Sinister being one branch or Suit of them. The interest in the Summers and Grey bloodlines was also him seeing the potential in their genes to make an ultimate mutant: played out via Cable, X-Man and Stryfe in terms of beyond omega level psionics.

They're all clones. Mystique killed the real Sinister. In a podcast Kieron Gillen once said that every diamond Sinister before House of X had been a different clone.

When I first saw the character I said the same exact thing and always thought they were related in some ways and read many interviews hoping Claremont would link them but nope. I Weill say I think it’s a missed opportunity back than. I always hope gambit was another summers brother cloned or made by sinister since he has the looks and powers etc similar

Sinister was an associate with the mutant Rasputin the mad monk. They have miniseries where he's trying to kill Colossus to bring back his ancestor. The series name is X men: Colossus Bloodline.

However, Rasputin wouldn't die and by the time his "brides" got a hold of him, they conducted a ritual. Rasputin declared that he passed his spirit into them, allowing him to preserve his bloodline -- and when the world was ready for his return, he would return. The smaller the bloodline is, the sooner Rasputin's return. Sinister spent decades waiting, deciding ultimately to murder Grigori's descendants until only the most powerful was left. The remaining Rasputin was then to be a vessel for Grigori's return, a fate Mikhail wanted for himself

It was said somewhere that genetic engineering surpasses evolution and Doctor Stasis seems to be the one focused on human potential like post humans and probably studies superhumans like the Hulk, Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four who were baseline humans who were altered by an outside source and still considered human. Mother Righteous seems to be a mystical deal maker who makes her "clients" think there's no big price to pay for her service while it's been said that magic always has a price and she seemed to be upset when her Ghost Rider "shared" his power.

Sinister's obsession with the Summers bloodline is because of their particularly superior genetics. When mixed with the right set of other genetics they produce nothing less than Omega level mutant beings.

I knew MR was a sinister but not by the heart on her chest but due to her color swap, while og (mutated) sinister has grey skin and a red diamond. She has a red skin, and while her hair isn't grey it is white which kinda counts

is this also possibly why nightcrawler proves so difficult for sinister to clone in Sins of Sinister #1? a different sinister who's entire gambit seems to be not only to gain followers, but also to gain players in relevant and important places, and her gaining eyes on the quiet council just happening to intersect with sinister's plans coming to fruition

Helpful review. I had watched the Sins of Sinister review and the link there, which one of your references called Mother Righteous and like you, I was leaning on Mr Peacock tattoo as the fourth. The Fall of Krakoa seems like a done deal, which given the role of Xavier in this issue with his son David and the direction of Kurt, the Sinister influence is really wreaking the mutants forces that I'm not sure I'm going to enjoy X-men story lines for the next few months, just when I was curious about this year's Emma Frost's Gala event and newest X-Man to join up. It seems the taint of Sinister would taint even the role that Emma Frost is playing with Captain America and makes it questionable about trusting other mutants in Captain Marvel & Brood conflict. Recovering from this story line and getting the mutants back into trustable/likeable characters will be devastating, as Cable coming from the future didn't know of this development or Rachel Summer? It seems this a significant event for the future line mutants to have been passed on. We'll have to see how it wraps up, but I hope they don't spend several issues destroying what the mutants created and then in one issue 'never mind all this, it was a dream' like the old Dallas series.

Not sure how I feel about this. First the Krakoan age gets introduced and every other writer wants a piece of it and play in that sandbox. Hellions was a standout during that run and Mr. sinister got a huge shot in the arm and became a popular character. Now everyone is writing a Sinister story.... Hope is pans out but things are getting a little messy at the X desk.

My thought is that Nathaniel Essex hasn't been revealed yet or might be a character who's real name hasn't been revealed yet. It could also be yet another case of Magneto syndrome where the "real" name constantly changes and he could also be someone we know under another name. The color of the skin doesn't seem to matter either.

I think a good twist would be for the original to abduct and absorb them as a means of restoring himself through some sort of super science borderline magic process that merges them all together that way, they could all be the "original" in a sense.

Lol. With you on the Joker symbol but as a point of clarity, there is no “real” Sinister. Nathaniel Essex is the original (and is likely dead, or in stasis), Sinister is one of 4 original clones, each marked by a different card suit. Obviously, his is the Diamond and you know what the others are, but most of them are unaware they’re not any more original than the others. What I suspect, is that aside from cloning and each going down different paths of research, they are each components of something meant to host the return of the true Essex.

So,what's confusing about the diamond Sinister,simple,his plan actually worked,he was revived,not through Charles Xavier in X men Legacy but later on through one of miss sinister's orphans,which he did that whole implanting his gene thing,so,who the fudge was behind the mutant massacre,inferno arc,Gambits reveal all of that,which diamond Sinister was it,that's what's confusing,because the true Sinister came back

Sinister will always choose Cyclops over the other Summers brothers because Cyclops is superior stock amongst superior stock. This was brought to Sinisters attention by the one who brought Essex into the science of mutant gene splicing himself En Sabah Nur aka Apocalypse. He is the one who set Sinister upon the Summers bloodline.

@@mikefuss9080 There are a bunch of diamond Sinister clones and there is Miss Sinister, who has a diamond. Then there are the other three major Sinidyer clones, space based, human based, and the magical Mother Righteous. Mystique and Destiny killed the original Nathaniel Essex who gained power from Apocalypse. But he already had made the four clones to gain power from mutants, man, space, and magic. So Further Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix still happened, just that Essex got killed. He was still able to clone himself due to the power and knowledge Apocalypse granted him.

Something tells me none of these 4 Sinisters are the real one . Knowing Mr Sinister watch each one of them have a 1/4 of his DNA . Then Merge together to bring the real Nathaniel Essex back who may or may not go by Mr Sinister. Mr Sinister is one of my favorite X MEN Villains and keep tweaking his story . Most people don't know that Mr Sinister originally was going to be a Mutant Slow aging Kid that could shape change. Scott as a kid was going to have been Bullied by him when he was in the Orphanage.I think later the idea was turned in to Random who was shown to be a kid .

Maybe none are the original. Four pods with four suits. A fifth had to make them. Perhaps an original Sinister that waits out the orchestrations of his prime clones or was long ago imprisoned by Apocalypse. This brings questions to the resurrection process. They can’t tell the difference between mutant and clone? Pryor was obvious. Diamond Sinister is the only Sinister with mutant dna? I have questions. Hopefully the writers have a cohesive plan that won’t retcon old Sinister appearances.
