Damn, I literally just watched Josh Johnson's set on the United CEO and Luigi, and I feel like the GOP might want to watch it before they try to push this bill. The silence of a sold-out crowd of about a thousand people when Josh says "People are saying 'he was a person, remember he was a person'... yeah, so was my cousin..." The GOP needs to maybe take a moment that we just had something happen that caused people on BOTH sides of the aisle to have a moment of 'wait, maybe I'm looking at my party wrong, maybe I'm looking at their priorities wrong' before they start cutting services that people who voted for THEM actually NEED. There's a very high majority of red voters who use social services, and who will take note of that if their services are cut off. Possibly not before, but DEFINITELY when/if that happens. The GOP have been talking about the coming civil war, but I'm not sure they're entirely clear on how that may play out for them when their own voters start realizing what their masters are taking away from them. Hint: the cost of eggs don't matter if you can't stay alive to eat them.

They don’t understand: The root of Government efficiency starts at Congress. Congress has cut the budgets of every non-DoD Agency for fifty years. Every Agency is stumbling along unable to accomplish core missions given them by Congress. When the Agencies fail to accomplish the mission, the citizen or industry group which pushed Congress for the mandate sues the Agency, and the Agency gets told by the Courts that they must perform the mission. The Agency then robs funds from another mandated mission to cover that cost. A few years later, the agency gets sued for not accomplishing the mission they robbed. The citizens see this inability to accomplish core missions as ineptitude and waste, and instead of blaming Congress, they blame the boots on the ground at the agencies.

The period of time Trump refers to 1890 McKinley Tariff act. Lead to crash in farm prices and a panic with many banks going under. It was good for the big corporations they raised prices. The government shouldn't have to pay for the FSK bridge. The company that owns the cargo ship should be paying for it. I hope the government sued the hell out of them and that money is what's being allocated.

The Department of Justice did just that, and got a $100 million dollar settlement from the company that owned the ship, but that'll take time to disburse, and the FSK needs to start being built now, so that the US has another functioning seaport. Thus the allocation, promised by President Biden.

I know that you say to reach out to like minded people locally and organize, but that seems impossible here. Ever seen The Thing? There’s a 75% chance that people who look like me here are secretly something horrible, and I wouldn’t relive myself on them if they were on fire. I hate them for what they’ve done to my wife, my son’s future and my country. What do I do with these feelings when I live so deeply behind the lines and have no one other than my spouse?
