I wish all these pro-naturals would shut-up and let other naturals do with the hair upon THEIR heads as they wish. You're not anybody's parents, you don't pay anybody's bills, you're not their significant other and you're sure as hell ain't their therapist to be telling them or assuming that someone hates themselves all because of a hair choice. Ugh! Get over it already, it's just hair and if someone wants to relax, perm, curl, braid, wig It, loc it, color it or even go bald... Guess what, that's NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS because it isn't your head. Worry about your own crown of glory and let other black women decisions on their crown and glory live. Factss and plus Gina said she has been studying black women’s hair for a very long time. That she loves it and is passionate about it but yet created a perm to change our texture. How about you come up with NATURAL hair products to keep our kinky curls softer and popping out more ? A Product that would make a huge difference than what’s out there so that black women wouldn’t have to keep going after a perm . but no instead she’s charging almost $1000 to get a “healthy” perm which people’s hair is thinning as time goes by
@theoriginallele_4 жыл бұрын
@@pascalepierre4373 I agree, I think she's really trying to capitalize on our community's internal struggle with hair. We're seeing large amounts of black women are finally comfortable enough to go natural, after years of chemical straightening in order to assimilate to this society's eurocentric beauty standards. It's hard enough to make that step and decide to rock your own hair unapologetically. Especially since there is still a lot of bias towards certain curl patterns/curl types. The curly hair community doesn't cater well to type-4 hair. As a woman with type for hair, I find it hard to find products for my hair. I still receive judgment from fellow black people who refer to is as "nappy" or "not good hair." It's frustrating because I feel like the ginacurl subscribes to this notion of a certain curl pattern being more desirable than others. On her Instagram, I'm seeing girls with beautiful type-4 hair get a ginacurl to transform it into the more desirable type-3 hair.

I am not deterred from getting this done by everything you have shared. I have known about this curl for at least 3 years. I don't know how I would make the investment for travel to Connecticut, hotel stay, the cost of the treatment, and the time involved. That would be around $2,000 investment 2x's per year. You can put heat on your hair, but if you just want straight hair, you can just do the straight variation instead of the Gina curl. It's a better alternative to a texturizer, plus you can do that and if you decide later on to get the Gina curl, you can still do it to straight variation hair. Titi, this is a GREAT video. 😊

Just ran across your videos and first off your hair is absolutely gorgeous 😍. The Gina Curl is either a traditional permanent wave used on Caucasian hair or the jheri curl. Most don't realize that a permanent wave can also be used on African American hair as well. Ms. Gina has definitely monopolized the hair game by marketing natural hair clients, but a typical permanent wave/jheri curl cost between $65-$200 depending on your length. You still have to treat a permanent wave like a jheri curl/wave nouveau on our hair and maintain your moisture to prevent breakage. There's nothing wrong with doing whatever it takes to make your hair more manageable. It's your hair and your decision. ~a 37yr licensed stylists

I agree that women can do as we please with whatever aspect of our bodies. But for me, when it comes to relaxers? I tell people to stay away from them because of major health risks like fibroids, cancer, irreparable scalp burns, etc. It’s another part of our life style that is detrimental to our health in a system that already doesn’t care about us in the first place. If Gina curl isn’t as toxic as relaxers, or is about as toxic as getting your hair dyed, then idc. But I’m not about putting products on my head that are mostly marketed to black women that is super damaging and horrible for our long-term health.

That's why I'm now willing to try the dryer form of the wave nouveau process. I've discovered through research that the Gina curl is the safest 4c curly perm option, right now. However, if I can't find a Gina curl stylist, I'm going to ask a couple of my mother's friends about their experience with the wave nouveau and give it a try. wow, this is so cool. Your before hair looks just like my current hair.. i was thinking the whole time, oh.. you probably have like 4a -3c hair already. That's insane. I'll stick with my current kunte kente-ness .. and maybe i'll consider this after my 20th year. lol

I’m ready for the Gina Curl because being fully natural is just not cutting it. Firstly I believe that it will help with my hair growth because my hair is not growing 😢 I’m just sad that’s $500 because that’s R8500 in South African rand that’s nearly TEN THOUSAND!! Also I’d have to apply visa and flight 😥 I don’t see it happening. I wonder if she’s willing to teach others, I’d pay for my stylist to learn technique

I wish Gina could allow the rest of the World to benefit from it! I'm in new zealand.. What other alternatives are there?
@shoyrushoyru2 жыл бұрын
shes not preventing the rest of the world from benefiting from it though, she actually holds training courses throughout the year where stylists from anywhere can show up and learn to do the gina curl and get certified to practice it in their own salons. they just have to want to come out to where ever she is holding it and do the course. i think shes not just gonna ship her products anywhere and tell people to do whatever they want with it and call it by her brand name of "gina curl", because if she cant see that they learned to do it the way she practiced and designed it, she cant be sure they learned to do it properly. stylists at salons would then be offering people "gina curls" that are all the wrong techniques and products and giving people poor advice and just giving her brand a bad name cause people can't follow instructions properly. its like hating a product because you didnt read the instruction manual and use it wrong. its like buying your ps5 from a back alley merchant who sells you something bootleg

I mean it’s ur hair and ur business and I’m not judging but dose this count as natural hair?
@nandocahigh4 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. She's beautiful and her hair looks beautiful before and after the GC but it IS a chemical process tho so her hair looks natural but it ain't.. 🤔

Show the styles but don't do styles that will break your hair off it's your gorgeous head of hair not ours 🤗👌🤭

950$?? You look amazing and the saloon seems great but yikes... I have a wave nouveau that I paid something like 70$ + 70$ for the products and the result looks exactly like yours. Also I didn’t travel and booked a hotel so a white owned business could overcharge me. Yes for more white people doing our hair, no for doing it 900$ more than what they should 💀 Maybe that’s just me. Anyway I hope you have a discount at least for that heavy promo 😅
