Great video, brother! I just made a large RR order and am going to start a "Traditional Tuesday" video series. I'm very excited. I'm the same way about multi-blade knives. All the knives I ordered were single blades, lol.

I guess I'm not sure what the real world use is for this one. A double bladed lockback with a belt sheath at a price approaching Buck folders doesn't really compute. If it's just a collectors piece then maybe, but SMKW should probably have invested more into QC than steel for an upcharge. Still cool to see and thanks for sharing JB!

I would have same reluctance for this design due to the feel of either blade digging into your hand when cutting. But, it is an interesting looking knife which would interest others who might overlook the blade pressing against your palm. Thanks for showing.

Any update on the action? Did things firm up at all after a cleaning? Just ran across this pattern on SMKW and it looks interesting, could look past the ergonomic issues, but that half stop slop might be a deal-breaker for me.

I dig the micarta. And I totally understand the ergonomics notes. But I also like the sheath, mainly because it's different. Though a standard black sheath is my general preference, too.

Interesting knife. I agree with user comfort. If used in opening packages with pinch grip, probably work. Imagine this design with single blade w rams foot blade. Home run.

Well…I like to have lots of options. This one is not my thing, though. Too chunky, too expensive. And I don’t like the way the blade sticks up when closed. (Is that a Sheepcliff blade, named after the Jane Austen character?) I agree with you - single blades, please, or keep them low-profile. I’ve never tried a double lockhorn-type knife - I know there are a couple smaller sizes with California clips in the old RR line. I might try one of them someday. Thanks for the look! I think RR is experimenting with RRR-type designs in 440 steel to keep costs down.

Yeah. I'm not sure about the pouch. Is it suppose to be like a basket weave? I also don't understand the need of a half stop on a lock back knife. It does seem that wharncliffe/reverse tanto/tactical coping blade would be uncomfortable to use. Definitely looks well made but I'd lose the halfstop. I'd also cut in half and turn it into two proper knives. For me, if I bought it, I'd be putting it in the GAW pile.

I am in 100% agreement Tobias! Thanks for your thoughts as always!

You probably remember the Case Double Lockhorn from back in the 80s. This doesn't look like it, but the name sure does. I have a Parker copy in orange smooth bone. It has 2 long clip blades that make the knife look like a longhorn cow when open. I suspect that the blades will get better with time and a bit of lube.
