Let's say he was five in 44. He'll be 58 in 97. Now Rogue, let's say Rogue absorbed the powers of her universe Carol Denvers, let's say in 85, and at that time she was 30. We know from our MCU continuity that one of Carol's powers is that she doesn't age. Then Magneto is 58, and Rogue 42, both looking much younger than they actually are due to their powers.

Its funny cause at the end of the 2nd episode when the jean thing happened i loudly screamed out Mystique. Im still traumatized to the amount of times she was shapeshifting as other people, like im still fully convinced that its her 😂

Jean is probably Madeline, that's what happened originally. That vampire "mutant" (or whatever) is fixated on Summers and Grey genetics and created a lifeless clone of Jean, when the Phoenix Force revives Jean after she sacrificed herself to stop Dark Phoenix, PF just gets the closest thing and gave it Jean life force, thus giving life to Jean's clone, and then a long time after Natan is borne OG Jean is found by The Avengers on the Jamaica Bay inside a psyonic egg, Jean and Madelyn fight, Madelyn dies and jean gets her life essence back

The "Jean" that had Nathan is Madelyn Pryer. Mr sinister created her as a clone of Jean Grey in the comics.

Also, Magneto and Rogue have a relationship bc both of their powers are magnetism based and cancel each other out. So she can touch him without hurting him. At least in the comics

I was pleasantly surprised by this. I didn't really have a lot of expectations on this apart from hoping they wouldn't ruin anything. But the first two episodes were exceptionally strong, especially episode 2.

I like the show so far. I thought the action scenes in particular were quite well done. Cyclops using his optic beams to manuever around the room to fight was awesome. Loved Storm's action scenes (there's no way her powers aren't back by season's end). Magneto has also been great. I'm interested to see how long he'll honor Xavier's wishes of co-existing with humanity before eventually going back to trying to destroy humans. I'm curious to see how this 2 Jeans story goes down. I'm betting one of the 2 Jeans is Madeline Pryor, a clone of Jean Mr. Sinister created. I hope the show continues to be good.

Jean greys copy is Madeline Pryor! She has a huge story arc in the 80a/90s comic books. It’s so rad :)

this is my first time watching the x men animated show and I like how I can feel the effect charles had on everyone. I can kinda tell what kind of person he was despite never seeing him on screen. I know a decent amount of most of these x men and I enjoy getting to know this rendition of them. Second episode was a banger and I love the way magneto is going about things. One more thing, idk what I expected from cyclops in this show, but I’m happy he’s getting his badass moments. Most other media doesn’t let him have those.

Loved the episodes, both were perfect for what I wanted to see. As for Morph, back in the old series he did mimic powers, just not as strong. I was so sad what they did to storm, one of my favourite characters, I hope we see her return.

I grew up watching the original as it aired and I have to say that it felt like it did back in the 90s minus an occasional feeling of the animation and voices being a little different. Hope to see it be this good all the way through as the first time in forever for a new show I am psyched to for the next episode.

I just finished watching these 2 episodes and OMG WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE! Wow after all the negative videos on various channels and I was shocked at how great this is. I was in early 20s when original aired and this feels damn near exactly the same! Happy Camper here!

From the first two episodes, it is a fair continuation. Clearly being respectful to the original, but not quite able to authentically recapture the same vibe. It feels like someone acting like how they think someone from the late 90s would act, but never lived it themselves. Particularly in the dialogue. Some of Beast’s lines were just painful as they tried and failed to match his style of speaking. I’m still cautiously optimistic for the series.

that was a trip to my teenage years. And Naboo bringing things up that I'd never remember on my own. Many many years since I though of all those things. (weird that they kept the magneto / rogue thing. Way back when it was a lot closer to Marvel deaging her to fit into the x-men. But nowadays, specially with viewership that has no context at all?)

Morph was the character I wanted to be in the mid-90s because he seemed to inherit the abilities of anyone he became, even though the idea seemed odd. For example, how could he get the abilities of Cyclops or the adamantum claws of Wolverine?

In the first 3 movies and this series, Rogue seems quite a bit younger. Magneto would be more of a father figure in terms of age. She seemed like a woman in her late 20s or early 30s in the older series and comics to me.

I watched the two ep , and I really like it, even if you have the crappy diversity and wokish elements here and there is very little in comparison to the good story and writing of this show very much in the line with the original from the 90s
