1 thing Death Battle forgot to mention for Harry was the Sword of Gryffindor.. that sword is indestructable, goblin-made, and the most powerful weapon in the wizarding world. Even a lightsaber can't destroy it. The sword takes in what makes it stronger, so a lightsaber would transform the sword into another lightsaber! Harry would've still lost though, as this would mean he'd need to have jedi skill to handle a lightsaber, lol

I think you're forgetting that the sword isn't technically his. He's used it before, but the only way he was able to get it was through the Sorting Hat, and he didn't own that. And yes, it wouldn't have mattered anyway, so no point in even bringing it up.

For all of you Star Wars fans and ris, you guys should keep in mind that harry only lost because of the scar, and they did not mention all of the other spells that harry could do, and if they did, the fight would seem like a blow out because Luke wouldn't stand a chance and would be killed in seconds, even with his connection to the force.

Harry has magic sure but Aang's bending has an much much higher offensive output and much more effective means of defense, not to mention agility and mobility with air bending that blows Harry's out of the water. Harry has magic, but admittedly limited magic, Aang has the full force of the elements.

Funny thing is...that isn't even full power Luke. At the point in the EU they're taking Luke, he's actually MUCH stronger then Wiz and Boomstick give him credit for. Luke, as Grandmaster, can take out armies of Vong. Vong that are normally Force Resistant. "Do not put too much faith in that tiny stick you picked up off the ground. The power to cast spells is insignificant next to the power of the Force."

It's funny to here you say how Harry wouldn't use death spells or Luke would not use Force Choke or anything out of their character. It's true they would not use it. However Mr. Ris you seem to have forgotten one tiny thing.....................This is a DEATH BATTLE. That means any part of a characters natural abilities that they learn yet refuse to use naturally may occur. Anything can happen.

Death Battle should one day Remaster Luke Skywalker from Star Wars vs Harry Potter as a Live Action fight, the characters are much better represented as Live Action Characters for this reason (if Deadliest Warriors did their own version of Luke Skywalker vs Harry Potter if they pit fictional characters against one-another, it will in no doubt be a live action version).

Funny you should mention Aang, in the original run, this episode was supposed to feature Harry versus Avatar Aang, but Wiz and Boomstick scrapped the idea when they realized Aang's Avatar State would decimate an enemy armed with a stick. That's why the original preview only includes Harry's scar with no hints on who his opponent may be.

The force is passive on the surface but downright devastating in the right hands. Although magic can do a lot more things, the strongest wizard is still outclassed by the strongest force wielder given the fact that the force basically binds itself to the person which makes it's abilities inherent within the user and over time they become second nature to him or her. Not to mention the scope of some force capabilies can encompass entire planets like Darth Nihilus' force drain. Also Luke's use of shatterpoint here mirrors how he destroyed the Death Star which is finding and exploiting a small but critical weakness.

A few Things: First of all: I agree with ScrewAttack on this one completely. In Star Wars the closest Thing to Magic would be the Force, and Force Ability's can be blocked with a Lightsaber like that dark Skinned Jedi Master did with Palpatines Force Lightning. Further Magic is simply Bolts of some Kind of Energy or Light, a Light Saber can deflect Blaster Shots that travel a lot faster than what I saw Magic do. This, combined with Luke just being the Super Jedi he is, Harry couldn't win. Sure, as a Ace Flyer he had a Advantage but Luke is used to fight Starfighters from the Ground at Times that most likely can fly a lot faster and fire a lot faster too, than Harry can. More so since his Aim should be quite bad when he flys full Speed around the Jedi Master.

I haven't seen enough of the crazy EU stuff to know if magic ever surfaced in the Star Wars universe but to my knowledge it's just the force and any "magic" that appears is force magic. In the case of force-based magic, if it's energy-based then the lightsaber CAN most definitely deflect or absorb it. There is also Sith Sorcery which can take on many different forms but the same rules apply in that if it's energy-based the lightsaber can deflect or absorb it. It also looked like Luke was able to use Tutaminis (force deflection) to a very high level in this battle which would let him absorb most if not all of the energy based attacks that Harry was throwing out.

4:57 Wait! Hold on! There is a big difference between how Luke and Harry were raised. Yes, they both lived with their uncle and aunt, but one had it a little better than the other. Luke's aunt and uncle, while not the most understanding of things beyond their home, at least took great care of him and properly raised him as his guardians. Harry, on the other hand, had to live with an abusive aunt and uncle, who made his life a living hell (especially his cousin).

And if a lightsaber can block & absorb something as destructive, and _magical_ as Force Lightning, then Harry's little shitty spells didn't stand a chance.

Any energy that gives off light when it's used, is considered light based. I.e. Goku's Kamehameha. And light-based energy vs. Lightsaber = Deflection. An example of a non light based form of energy, would be the Force Push, or Telekenesis.

also i dont agree with the force choke thing, it chokes you it doesn't immobilise your arms, harry could have used non-verbal spells not saying hed win but that wasnt how itd go down. alos luke doesnt use regular force choke, he tricks the brain into thinking the person is being choked but they arent. they didnt do proper research

Here's what it comes down to from my POV, magic is all good and stuff (but isn't as cool looking as a lightsaber in your choice of color and handle design unlike the wand that you don't get to choose which one you get), but in battle, what it really comes down to is being about to sense your surroundings. In terms of that; Harry Potter is just like another normal person (muggle), he can create magic, but he still only has the five senses, and can't detect anything beyond that without the use of spells (except Lord Voldemort). As where Luke; the Jedi are for more advance in battle than Wizards; simple, the Force is basically a Spidey-Sense, attacking a force-sensitive being will many times set off a warning sense that will allow them see the attack coming, something Wizards like Harry lack (except when it's Lord Voldemort attacking Harry).

So um....technically Harry never defeated voldemort, the Elder wand did because it refused to kill its master(Harry). Expalliarmus is Harry's signature move which disarms but doesn't rebound spells. The Killing curse basically backfired on Voldemort because he was not the rightful owner of the wand(and Harry is/was). So, yeah, Voldemort pretty much defeated himself there, unintentionally.....again. Also.....Apparition wouldn't be that effective in a Death Battle. Why? It requires total concentration and has the risk of leaving pieces of the body behind(Splinching, I believe it was called)

I think u touched on the only problem i had with this death battle in ur mid-analysis; this is a jedi fighting a wizard but they are not necessarily the best ones of their field (eg: dumbledore seems more powerful than harry and personally i see characters like darth vader as superior to luke in using the force and lightsabers), just a point that i think would have improved the battle but i liked it anyway

You'd need to put Flash up against Silver Surfer to make things slightly closer to fair. And even that doesn't really work, because Flash isn't really a speedster. He's a time manipulator. HUGE difference.

Lightsabers can block or deflect just about any projectile. It can block Force Lightning, and deflect Force Destruction ( a ball of energy about 100x more powerful than any of Harry's projectile spells). Harry's spell projectiles aren't much different than anything seen Star Wars, so it comes to no surprise they were easily blocked. harry was actually smart by not spamming the cutting curse, otherwise it would have ended a lot faster and probably more gruesome for Harry. lol

Seirra Moon Starkiller never became a Sith Lord the Dark Side Endings are non-canon well not anymore since all books, games, etc are Legends so TFU never happened in the New Canon for Star Wars, but I don't really care about that. Darth Vader isn't the Strongest, but he's up there. He probably would be if he didn't lose so much of living tissue and organs after his defeat on Mustafar. Sidious has said if Galen Marek from the first game didn't die he would have rivaled Sidious who is considered the Strongest Sith Lord ever though I don't know if his Clone is capable of the same, but I wouldn't doubt it. I know you posted a month ago so sorry for that and sorry for long reply.

Seirra Moon The Light Side endings for TFU 1 and 2 were canon before Disney decided they wanted a clean slate for the newer movies they are making because they didn't want to be bound by something that happened in the books or games. So now everything except The Clone Wars cartoon, Rebels, and new TV shows, new Novels like Tarkin, games like the new Star Wars Battlefront, and the Movies are now considered "Legends".

Magic was an oppositon of electricity (electricity died in the proximity of magic) and most importantly it's a power to shape the world (which means you can change any matter or even create it). Light Saber is a joke compared to that. Harry could just turn Luke into a pig with flick of his wand and no Saber would help him. And considering that Harry used unforgivables in the story...
