@Josepiii6 ай бұрын
Nah this dude’s just hating and misleading for views tbh, it wasn’t THAT bad. Morbius was worse with no possible meaningful connection to the Spider-Verse. Yeah, the villain’s lines sounded like horrible dubbed voice-overs. Yeah, it definitely doesn’t help that Dakota Johnson’s role and performance stood only to gain by her AT LEAST being up to date with the spider verse if not Marvel as a whole and that’s definitely evident in her monotone and passionless interview about the movie. The promo was a little cringeworthy as well and probably didn’t help at the box office but kinda irrelevant after the fact that it’s now in the top 10 on Netflix. The part where he says “you’re weaving in and out of making sense” would’ve been a bar if it was actually appropriate; the producer’s description made perfect sense to me and the movie’s visual representation and execution of Madame Web’s powers was decently animated. The jab of the ambulance is unnecessary and not really well deserved, everything under the hood wasn’t really damaged being that the impact contact was only with Ezekiel when it crashed in to him, and even then it ended up not working after a few minutes of driving after they shocked him through the ceiling. Same thing with the critique on her getting blinded bc she “didn’t see that coming.” I think that’s actually a good setup on the directors’ parts for her character development and integrating her comic background portrayal, especially considering the context of she literally just saved the day by mastering her powers and using them at the highest frequency ever before. What else was she going to do after falling out of an exploding rooftop into the sea? It’s not like she had anywhere else to go; Spideysense doesn’t protect Spider-Man from every threat, let’s treat this story and situation with the same logic. Yeah, there are definitely a few things that Sony really doesn’t have an excuse to have dropped the ball on with this movie, but the great thing about that is the bar wasn’t set that high for a better possible sequel to be made. I liked the plot and the ending setup provides for a refreshing and purposeful opportunity to connect the lady spider variants to Spider-Man in whatever way the next possible (hopefully better) directors deem fit. It’s overhated in my opinion.
