It's crazy how uploading KZbin videos can change people's lives. Think about it, TheOdd1sOut could've been your regular math teacher. Becca, you should be grateful that your dad stuck around long enough to see you go to college and encourage you to start a business, my dad passed away 4 years ago when I was in 8th grade from Lung Cancer, and the feeling of me walking to get my diploma for graduating Middle School and not seeing my dad there, hurt me so much especially seeing other kids moms and dads congratulating them made me tell my mom I wanted to leave early after it was done. It also felt sad starting High School without him, and a little while after starting High School my mom signed me up for therapy since I really wasn't doing good, and it's definitely helped a lot. I do still miss my dad a lot but knowing he did everything he could to help my family, and that he always was and will be proud of me, makes me feel happy. ❤

Dear Becca as a writer i want to thank you because despite being older then you by a few years this video has helped me. Ive loved watching these vids because they have become an inspiration to me. In july 2022 i was diagnosed after a craniotomy with a slight chance of having a low grade glioma brain tumor and while i didnt need chemo or radiation ive had worse happen which has downward spiraled into a depression. On January 14th 2023 at 730 only being put on hospice for barely a day my mom passed away but to add worsr on may 9th 2024 at 1233 pm my dad was gone too. As an only child i fell into a downward spiral of pain and loneliness. Despite having family there for me its a tough pain but seeing this video has inspired me to write a book about all that i dealt with in the last two years, and i do take time for myself. Thank you. I revisited this video after my sweet little girl passed away yesterday. When you were talking about your dad passing away and tipping over the edge, it made me think about my own situation. Your words have played through my head all day. How when you live through something you never thought you'd survive, the word doesn't seem as scary anymore. I never thought I'd survive my cat dying. She was my everything. My reason to live, everything. And now that she's gone and I'm still here and breathing... It's terrifying, but also somehow not... I lived despite thinking I would've gone with her... So, thank you for those words. Because they are one of the only things reminding me I'll be ok.
