Great video. I am always impressed with the enthusiasm and dedication of astronomers in the UK. Fighting light pollution and weather, you do an amazing job. Thanks

A simply stunning result. I’ve nothing like your equipment but imaged M101 last September from my home in Scarborough. It was my first ever target with my Skywatcher 72ED on the star adventurer . The result - very similar to your 2019 image! Thanks for sharing your setup and the results you achieve 👍

Hello, thank you for the kind comments, it does really mean a lot. Stick with it, some nights can be frustrating, but they are soon forgotten when you have the good nights.

Nice set up, very tidy. Great video! The outtakes give me a tickle. I always seem to get a loud car go past when I'm filming so I know that feeling.

That’s one of the tidiest rigs I’ve seen! Great idea with the handle, you should patent that!! Love your setup! Cable management at its best, those LynxAstro cables are good! Fantastic end result, funny outtakes 😀

Thanks for the comments and watching the video Simon. It did take me a while to get the cables like that and to be honest theres room from some more improvements. Glad you liked the video

Great video and capture Hogarth! That's a spectacular M101, I find that target hard to process compared to other galaxies for some reason.

Excellent setup, love your DIY handle and your cable management, I need to fix my cables. I got the ZWOAir pro plus in November to help with my cable management, unfortunately the weather here in York has been unkind. Beautiful M101 ,love the outtakes at the end. Looking forward to seeing your next video.👍

Excellent kit overview and of course final image superb. I’ve just got an Esprit 100 myself but yet to get to use it anger. I really like the handle idea. There are clear skies tonight but a near full moon. I might try some globular clusters as a first go.

Great results! Really nice job processing. SGP will let you sleep at night :) I've got mine setup to hit multiple targets in a single night. The recovery mode is also very nice.

That’s for the comments, I do appreciate your time to watch and feedback. ah the recovery mode, you learn the hard way sometimes. First time PHD2 lost a guide star, imaging stopped.. then I discovered recovery mode 🤦♂️👍

Nice video, great image and love the outtakes at the end. One question though, if you always remove the guidescope, is it still aligned with the Esprit ?
@HogarthsAstrophotography3 жыл бұрын
I did a lot of research into this and the general consensus was that was long as the guide scope is pointing in the same area as the main scope, the results are fine. You’ll notice I have clam shells on the scope as well, which grips the scope far better than traditional guidescope rings The scope is with 1-2mm of its place each night at a guess.
