@@garr_inc which is really strange if you do the maths, a human soul is worth as much as ALL monsters in the underground combined, meaning a monster soul is worth something like 0.0001 human souls. So does that mean the power of 1 human soul is not enough to cross the barrier, but 1.0001 souls is? I have a feeling Alphys was just mistaken and she thought it needed to be 1 human + 1 monster because that makes sense from a monster's perspective, they need to absorb a human soul to leave, so they always learn it that way. But in reality one human soul on its own is enough.

actually, the devs asked Toby first if they can develop Undertale Yellow and Toby give them a permission to do it. Undertale Yellow is under development for 7 years and finally fully released last month.

I’m so glad you guys are finally playing Undertale Yellow! Despite some of its flaws, it is one of, if not THE BEST Undertale fangame out there. I want you guys to be 100% blind on this game, but there is one thing I do want to mention. Undertale Yellow allows you to go for True Pacifist immediately, so you might be inclined to only do that route (and maybe Genocide). However, one of the best parts of the entire game is exclusive to the Neutral Route. There is also plenty of other cool stuff exclusive to the Neutral Route depending on your decisions, which I would not want you guys to miss. So whether you decide to make a bonus episode on it after doing Pacifist, or you shoot someone directly in the spinal cord on your first playthrough, I hope you guys don’t skip out on the Neutral Route!

All agreed. On the first point, I seem to recall it was a plot point with Alphys reveaing in the final elevator in Hotland that the player will have to fight and kill Asgore for his soul if they want to leave. On the second point, Flowey did mention at some point that he lost the ability to reset when the player came along due to their greater determination, so Flowey not having faced his moral event horizon and still trying to be good by using his determination abilities to help Clover is actually a pretty clever way to utilize the save mechanic here.

Here’s something you should know that is not spoiler-y. This game has 3 main paths like the original game, but killing ANY monster at all will set you on the Neutral path, which has its own special ending. You CANNOT get the Pacifist Ending if you start Neutral. It would require it’s own separate playthrough. There are enough differences imo to do a second playthrough for Neutral if you wish to in the future. Just don’t accidentally miss click and shoot somebody in the face. Can’t wait to see you play this masterpiece of a fan game! It made me cry.

34:30 It IS indeed a 2! There's a few different number-cracks throughout the ruins (the one by the cat-erpillar is a 3!) and if you click on them all in numerical order those spikes blocking the way near the 2 will disappear and you can get a special item!

About the "build up to leave" thing, the barrier is stated to be one way. Monsters and humans can both enter, but neither can leave. Only a monster with a human soul, or a human with a monster soul can leave

Guys. Undertale expects you to do a Neutral run first, then reset to get a different route by choice. So Neutral 'endings' are more like midpoints. _Unless_ of course, you want to keep that ending. The game won't stop you.

HELL YEAH!!!! When I first watched Phisnom play this I was desperately hoping you two would play! Your Deltarune playthrough was literally my favorite playthrough of the game I saw, and I watched alot of playthroughs. LET'S GOOOOO!! This fangame is my favorite piece of UT fan content and I was so eagerly waiting for you to play it and react. Ain mentioning he's on the hunt for dialogue so I'll give the tip bit that most NPC have up to 3 different dialogues and that includes Flowey at the Saves (His are hilarious) and also after beating the boss of that area more NPCs show up like in UT. Cassey talking about Flowey saving for yeah has actually being a debate on the community, yeah it'd make sense any other human would have more DT than him but also the game's not clear how much is "Being determined enough" and how determined Flowey is. Dalv he's.... He got baggage, Yeah (I believe the reason has lightning powers is cuz Castlevania Drac reference) (Also yeah I think the fact you start with a real ass Gun already says monsters ain't messing around)

This will probably sound insane, and I won’t blame you if you don’t want to do this, but if you intend on seeing all the cool things in this game I really suggest intentionally starting with a neutral run. Some additional, mildly spoilery incentives if you’re not convinced: Unlike Undertale, this game actually has significant differences between Pacifist and Neutral. Differences that you’ll be permanently locked out of if you settle on one. But why Neutral first? Well obviously it’s the easiest route, since you’ll gain EXP and LOVE. So it makes sense from a difficulty progression perspective. More importantly though, it also makes for neater story progression. The Pacifist route has a bit of an issue where you don’t really get to ponder any questions as mysteries tend to be solved immediately. The game has actually been criticized by a not insignificant amount of people for this. However this does not happen in a Neutral route. Ultimately though, the choice is up to you what to do.

We really are in the golden era of Undertale/Deltarune fan games. Deltatraveler section 3 came out and it was great, TS!UNDERSWAP got its second update and it's massive, and this entire game dropping. A few things I’ve noticed that you may have forgotten from undertale lore, I’ve just started the video so I’ll update if anything else comes up. 1) The reason Toriel doesn’t build a ladder for the humans to get out is because they can’t. Remember, getting through the barrier requires a human soul AND a monster soul. It is also stated in Undertale that anything can enter but nothing can leave. In other words, it’s a one way barrier. 2) It’s not that in this timeline flowery hasn’t lost it yet, he is simply still playing with the possibilities. In undertale, Flowey stated his experiences across different timelines. He has befriended them all and he has killed them all. You are simply playing in a timeline where flowey is choosing to be nice.
