I love seeing all the sportsmanship at the end. I grew up sprinting in the 90's, and it wasn't like this. It was FAR more tense. Bolt changed all that with his laid back and friendly style. Very happy to see it.

I thought Bolt could run 400 under 43 sec, because I saw many times he ran 200 semi-finals around 20.0 sec with no fatigue and I couldn't imagine more 23 sec was necessary for the latter 200. But Bolt has a little weakness for the final stretch even in 200 race, and Tebogo he doesn't have that. Tebogo may be the very one who can break 43 barrier.

@@timn4481That's not really accurate especially since Lyle's is not the person to beat in the 100🤔 you are leaving out Kerley and Coleman for some reason. And if he's running that fast right now in the 300 then he can definitely go in the low 19's for the 200 and challenge Lyles. I agree with the original comment that he should focus on the 200 & 400. He could go definitely 43 low. If you compare his progression Wayde the previous record holder at 300, he has already run faster than him in 200 so if I'm running this fast now is why I say he should go in the low 19's and challenge Lyle's.

@TrainProductions The 400m IS a sprint. It's not like it's an 800m race. It is a sprint like the 100m and 200m. Wayde had to do speed training with Bolt and Blake in Jamaica before he broke the 400m record. Speed is the key to all the sprints and Tebogo (and Lyles) has that. This is why Tebogo can run 44 secs in the 400m, and why a 200m Jamaican sprinter was able to step up to the 400m and win the World Championships, and why Noah has offered to run the 4x400m this year as well because he has the speed reserve to do it. The faster your top speed, the easier it is to run below your top speed for an extended period of time.

He's famous for winning and breaking African and age group records easily. He set a record while talking smack to a competitor who he had a conversation with before that race. He also set his first record months before that Junior Championship race. He's only showboated in 2 noticeable races and slowed down in 1 race (he got 2 records in those 3 races). He slowed down while breaking the 100m under 20 record in Botswana, then he showboated/talked smack and got the 100m under 20 record again in the finals at the Junior World Championships in 2022, and he slowed and showboated a bit in the 300m race last year when he easily got top 10 all-time. He commented that he was doing it to excite the crowd not to disrespect his competitors and it was for suspense so you'd have to watch him go faster in a later race. He has since stopped showboating as you can see in ALL of his races since that 300m last year. He's only missed one record even with all that showboating and slowing down and that was his 300m race last year. That's it, so he'd have gotten the record he got in this video earlier, no more. Bolt has done similar things while winning and breaking records. Do your homework before you leave ignorant comments.
@mikemowett740110 ай бұрын
@@gmaxsfoodfitness3035 well you are obviously a fan of his and did your homework. I appreciate your comments, really. But don't call me ignorant. He's showboated and it got shown on multiple videos. Maybe he had his reasons for it, as you mention, but it detracted from his rise to fame. People tend to only remember the negative. He's not the only athlete doing this. I'm tired of Ato Bolden and other commentators speaking in smooth terms of "and he shuts it down early" like reinforcing this new trend to slow down and approach the finish line is a hot bed of coals. Its disgusting to me that a world class athlete can't run a full 100 meters when they are winning.
