I was thinking, that nursery rhyme was eerily dark. She got a few details off. They thought sickness came from bad smells in the air, miasma. So, they carried flower petals in their pockets. That's what those big ass, creepy bird masks were about, to block the smell.

I feel so sorry for Lewis. While it's pretty twisted that he was so happy after killing his own parents, he had been abused for years and years by the people who were supposed to love him and take care of him. That kind of stuff seriously alters somebody's mindset, especially when they're young and still developing. I truly hope he got the help he desperately needed.
@completlynormalhypernova6663 жыл бұрын
Honestly i can see why he would be happy. He suffered abuse all his life now he's rid of his abusers. That is a reason to be happy. I in no way think what he did was right and there were certainly other ways to escape from abuse.

It was a family of psychopaths... including the son!
@alexandralite8353 жыл бұрын
@@lydiapetra1211 if that was the case the kid wouldn't have been as they described "crying all the time, no confidence, ect". The son was pushed to far with the mistreatment. There was no description of his home life leaving us to speculate that he was mentally, physically and emotionally abused. As someone who has gone through mental and emotional abuse I know the signs when I see or read them in statments and stories. For all we know the parents were killing people and making their son watch, the son didn't want to and when he refused he was physically punished. There are ways to hide bruises. Maybe making him go to school without pants on was a mental and emotional punishment.
@alexandralite8353 жыл бұрын
@@SG-pu3rx or maybe one night he decide he was going to shoot them in their sleep, or bludgeon them to death while their backs were turned. There was no lack of empathy from the P.O.V character as he stated he felt bad, even without saying you could tell there was empathy up till the end where there was shock. A normal human reaction would be "was I and my friends the next target, how can someone do that and be happy." As humans we're trained by society that a normal human thinks one way, that to be normal is to have a strong fearful reaction towards death. After finding out something like you school mate killing his parents, it's a normal reaction But what the kid did shouldn't be seen as okay and seen on a one way view, but hearing the story you should give understanding and empathy for what may have lead to the results of his parents ending up dead. Sometimes people do just shut down and go into autopilot, they do things cause it gets stuck in their head that it needs to be done weather it's wrong or right. It's the same as when people get angry and say "they saw red", which means they reacted in anger and just acted physically not mentally.

@@alexandralite835 we don't know the whole story...but most definitely the parents were psychopaths...it's sad that the system let him down too and the school too.... also I know people who went through horrific abuse of all kinds and they didn't turn to murder.....but you are right who knows his mental and emotional status and perhaps he snapped.....it's a very heartbreaking situation...no one stepped in to rescue him...
@anthonyargueta1313 жыл бұрын
@@lydiapetra1211yeah but u also don't know the abuse he had to endure. It was probably horrific by how he was acting. No one did anything at all to help him. Not even the social workers. Was he just supposed to stand there and just endure it? It's understandable that he snapped and killed them. Kid was being tortured every day. Just cuz ur friends didn't do it doesn't mean it just automatically makes him a psychopath. Pretty insensitive remark in that regard.

No one is certain exactly what the rhyme "Ring around the Rosie" is about. It didn't appear in print until 1881, five centuries after the Black Plague happened. As a result most Folklore scholars disagree with the Great Plague explanation that has been the most common since the mid-20th century, and consider the idea baseless.

This is definitely one of my favorite compilations I have come across yet (& believe me, I have watched TONS of these - love this channel!!). Some of my thoughts/comments while watching: #3 : does anyone have more information about this horrific murder??? Like that must have hit the new somewhere... :\ #4 : I had a feeling that as soon as he was happy he had offed his parents, wow what a story. I feel bad for the kid being raised like that & not getting proper help from teachers - or even peers - taking notice & not making some sort of action. So incredibly sad. System fail for sure... #4 : WOW, I have never heard of this before. Definitely doing more research on this but you did an absolutely incredible job as usual!!! Thank you for shedding some more light on this story. ( Eek ... Glad to know my family were/are Highlanders & hopefully were not affected by this cannibal clan back in the day, hm...) #5 : WHAT! This is seriously in 2008... with their 12 yr old??? Jeez man that is just sick. & I love horror but ugh, to bring your kid along with you on these massacres...killing children while being a nursery school teacher? You have got to be kidding me... *smh*

I love these stories. Just wish the dates around the time these stories happened would be included so I can better imagine the time period, if they had access to cell phones, if it happened in the middle ages, or if it happened closer to 2020 so I can know what to look out for and better understand why people aren't able to call the cops in some of these stories etc. Other than that, these stories were terrifying. Especially the one that took place in what sounds like an older time Era. (the story of the cannibal people living in the cave). The whole time I thought it took place within the 1900's until you started talking about how different historians believe differently about about events and talked about how the people accused of being the murderers were publicly murdered (something not allowed today) and mentioned a king supporting them being killed. That's when I realized it took place a long time ago. Other than being a little confused about when these different stories took place, I absolutely love your narration on the stories and learned a lot about just how dark some people can be. As someone who has anxiety, hearing these stories helps me learn what to look out for. Stories like this have actually saved my life before because I was able to recognize the red flags due to all the true scary stories I had heard over the years. These kind of stories can literally help save some people's lives because they know what to expect and look out for in this world. Thanks for sharing these stories.

TBH Mrs. Ward sounds like she's just vibing and avoiding her terrible family. That Ring Around the Rosie thing is pretty common knowledge, and a lot of kids get a kick out of it; it's like baby's first edgelord moment. She probably assumed OP would think it was cool.

True Crime Channels: If You have any info about this missing person, PLEASE contact the police or FBI, even anonymous tip line. Let's Read story 2: "My mom saw many missing persons being shuffled into a car, but never called the police". Makes me wonder how many of these crimes could be so easily solved if people would just come forward.
@roobeyee3 жыл бұрын
You know the mom was threatened and she didn't want anything to happen to her kids right? It's like you didn't even pay attention 🤦

U need to listen to the story again actually listen!!

I know, its really sad but the fact is even if she had come forward, if the police didn't find evidence right away they would've been let loose to go take revenge on her and her family. This is usually the case and when police can't do anything, or sometimes are just to lazy or careless, innocent people end up dying or getting seriously hurt because they tried to speak up and do the right thing

@@roobeyee No need to be insulting. Calling an anonymous tip line isn't going to make anything bad happen to anyone's kids.

I just realized in story 5, the names Sonny and Bean are the names (for all you anime watchers) Hange, from AOT gave the test subject titans and my mind is blownnnn

Damn, never knew that story about the Beane/Beene? family is terrifying and that inspired the movie, "The Hills Have Eyes."

Don’t let the second story make you think that Santa muerte is evil. There’s people that do messed up crap but animal sacrifice isn’t something that they ask for.
@rosebud78313 жыл бұрын
She said she wasn't sure they were doing that, anyway.

People automatically assume any sort of paganism is all about sacrificing animals and harming virgins and that's complete crap. Most practitioners aren't violent people.

I rarely ever EVER feel bad for murders but I feel bad for Lewis. Kid was majorly abused & pushed to the edge. He most likely killed his parents out of self defense. Very sad case.

@@scrubbingbubbies yes do that. There was fan art at christmas on the (I don't know what you call it) display where there was a christmas tree. The fan art was on the wall in the background. Yours could have been hung up there. Go for it M8
