Because the babysitter didn't need to know about the safe room as long as the little girl did, teenagers have big mouths, they tell their friends everything, so word about the safe room would soon become public knowledge and the safe room would no longer be safe.

I heard about Alice Springs recently and was astounded at how many people who lived there had not only experiences with getting robbed, but also straight up violent crime (getting threatened with machetes, getting attacked out of nowhere, etc). I’m American and I can’t think of many places here, if any, that match that level of random violence.

The cops should turn their sirens off as they're pulling up to a suspected home invasion. I mean you do want the element of surprise, yeah? Or the first cops show up with his siren off, but yet his back up comes in with sirens on that way when they run out, someone is there to catch them or intercept them.
@brandonnelson5100

@melindadawn5

I practically pull my hair out every time I'm watching or listening to stories where cops are coming with sirens on. I don't think I've ever heard or watched an account where they show up without sirens on, yet, sirens have never been on when I or someone else has called the police during domestic violence incidents... Or even when there was a drive by shooting on my street... I've wanted police to come with sirens on during domestic violence incidents, but you'd think if they got a call about an active home invasion, they would hurry to the location and approach with lights and sirens off to better catch the suspects in the act. I like your idea of backup coming with sirens on to kinda bait the suspects into the first officers arms... But... I'm convinced police aren't really here to protect and serve us... Protecting and serving someone or someones that's not the general public.. I actually had a cop tell me that anyone can threaten to kill you, but there isn't a crime until after the guns trigger is pulled but even after you've been shot the cops don't have to show up immediately and can choose to call for an ambulance instead of showing up themselves and as long as they called for an ambulance, they've fulfilled their duty... (That was the first call to the police I ever made as an adult and they sent an officer out to tell me that in person... 🤦🏻‍♀️I have zero faith in police and view them as a gang of corrupt criminals)
@davidbiagi2932
@davidbiagi2932 26 күн бұрын
I think it’s some sort of law for cops needing to make themselves known. It does kinda suck for them to do it, but it’s much better than some teenage kid sneaking out of his house and happened to be in that area and they get shot or something because the cops thought it was one of the suspects from the burglary. Obviously that’s a very unlikely scenario, just trying to come up with something to make it make somewhat of sense. But yeah, pretty sure they can’t just come up inconspicuous no matter if it’s something this serious or not. Also, those criminals could be about to find the people in the house and do something horrible to them and if the cops don’t have the lights on to scare them before they get to them, they could still end up doing something bad. They may end up caught because of it, but at the expense of the people in the home being murdered. I’d much rather them come in with sirens and lights blaring and flashing and have the suspects run before they find me over them not knowing cops are there and having another 3-5 minutes before the cops get in there
@xeedflarian9748
@xeedflarian9748 26 күн бұрын
I think it might be that the sirens usually make them quit doing what they were doing, so they don't catch them by suprise, which could lead to a shoot out or hostage situation or collateral damage.

Ppl in the first story are evil af, there's no way I'm going back to their house to babysit for them, especially after finding out that they had enough money to hire "armed security". Like clearly they are doing something lucrative enough to afford that n it's by no means a cheap service to pay for and that also in my opinion tells us that they know someone is after their kid and that they have a belief that they needed the security guards which is honestly terrifying tf are you doing in your private life that is getting your kids targeted by other grown adults.

@davidbiagi2932
@davidbiagi2932 26 күн бұрын
Just because someone is rich and has bad people go after their kid doesn’t mean they are in any kind of shady business. There are people out there who stalk rich people and their families for months and figure out the perfect time to try and kidnap them to get a ransom because they know you have money. And after knowing they have a legit safe room AND will also now have armed security, why tf would you NOT want to work for them? That would now be pretty much the safest people to work for. But hey, you go ahead and stop working for someone with high levels of security and go work for poor people (who also have kids who can be targeted by bad people to be kidnapped and trafficked) that have NO safe room, no backup armed security, NOTHING. Do you now realize how fucking dumb you sound?

Why would they be involved in some sort of crime? Because they have money? Because they have a safe room? Lots of people who have a lot of money and also kids, especially kids, have some type of safe room in their home. If you have money, you are going to have a higher chance at being targeted by criminals to extort you for money in some way. You people watch way too many movies and have no common sense.

Angie's parents should be praised for having the faith that by showing their young daughter the safe room, that she would understand the importance of it! Possibly knowing there might be a kidnapping attempt or a revenge attempt on her life ...they werent going to lose their girl. And that babysitter was awesome in not just grabbing Angie and running somewhere they would've been found , but trusting Angie to take them to safety. That is a beautiful story...and a wonderful bond btwn you all. ❤💫 ty for sharing!

Damn….the first story is insane. I had the thought that the invaders were probably going to try to take Angie for ransom. Clearly they were highly organized criminals. Or perhaps the parents aren’t too clean themselves and got their money by dealing with some bad guys. Might be why they have a safe room to begin with.
