You can also use lissa, which becomes lissaat when you add an attached prounoun.

Excellent! Very practical, thank you. How do you say "already", as in "They ate already?"
@imwaleed12685 жыл бұрын
In that sentence you would use the word صار for already. Here is how the sentence would look in the levantine dialect همَ صارو ماكلين Another way of writing this sentence although less common where I am from is: قد أكلو It might be different in other levantine countries but these two ways are how it would be said in Palestine.

يعطيكي العافية طاليى. شكرا كتير لهاي فيديو!! كتير مفيدة. So, how do you practice speaking arabic at home when there is nobody you could talk to? Because, I think it is really important to speak on daily basis, mish heek?

I speak with my self, or I read something and I try to give my opinion, to myself, sounds weird but it works, or wherever I think i say it out loud, it works

I actually don't really practice speaking as much as I would like to, but I have some Arab friends I practice with sometimes and I also take italki lessons now and then. Anyway, I would definitely recommend looking for a language exchange partner or teacher on www.italki.com :)

@janslehmann055 жыл бұрын
ivor worrell no, it had something to do with the moon and sun letters in Arabic. It’s spelled al ktab but pronounced l-ktab.
@thelanguagelife79625 жыл бұрын
No. We add the helping vowel to break up the three consonant cluster since it is difficult to pronounce three consonants in a row :)
@ivornworrell5 жыл бұрын
@@janslehmann05 Thanks for the reply, but as far as I know, if 'al' comes before a sun letter, the lam in 'al' is NOT pronounced although it is still written, so I am now confused as to why the word it should not be al ktab (or il ktab in the Shami dialect) because the letter kaf (in the word ktab), is a moon letter.Shukran

@@thelanguagelife7962 Yikhlif akeli Talia, this really helps.

@@janslehmann05 Hello, Spoken Arabic Simplified cleared it up for me beaujtifully, it has to do with inserting a vowel, ya in this case, to prevent an awkward sound in pronouncing three sonsecutive consonants (lam, kaf & ta, in al ktab).
