They are tighter than a gnats ass! And how Mark King can sing AND play some of those bass lines is beyond me

I’m a massive Level 42 fan from the 80s and have never thought much about the percussion elements of their music until seeing this drummer bring them to life. It’s been about that Bass and Keyboards. Wow!

Level 42 have always had outstanding drummers. Phil Gould, Level 42's original drummer was widely regarded as great pocket drummer. Since then they have Gary Husband, Gavin Harrison (for a bit) and Pete Ray Biggin who are all awesome.

I wonder how many people actually understands what a Good SINGER Mark King is and always was!!? He is known as a good bass player! But he’s an even better singer, Singing is his strength!!
@Daniel-lm4zk20 күн бұрын
I don't know if I would say it's his "strength".. He is great and very consistent and I've always loved his voice.. But listen to his solo album influences.. and realize he played every instrument on their except for the horns 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯...his " strength" ...is Who he is as a multi instrumentalist!!! ... I don't think anybody can touch him on all those levels.. And again I love Mark's voice❤

Mark King is not a singer, but a brilliant bass player and musician. Singing is absolute not his strength, he said that about himself. I agree on that.

Mark King doesn’t agree with you, otherwise Pete wouldn’t have the gig. I read your comment prior to listening to the set and I have to say Pete is very tasteful & executed his fills without clashing with vocals or other lead instruments.
@travel_and_explore_with_BIP3 ай бұрын
@@CB-DWI Agree with that Sir!! I’m just an old school fan, since the beginning , who thinks Phil is one of the best and most underrated drummer on the planet! The band moved on with Gary Husband, who is also a very “busy” drummer, but I dig him, Pete is awesome aswell! The band wants a modern sound to attract a new younger audience , this is how music sounds today, Mark was always a very “busy” bass player himself so he likes that! Cheers!! 🍻
